Current Library Haul

Happy Friday Guys!

I hope all of you that were able to take advantage of Easter break and get away had amazing vacations!

I was unfortunately working right through it, but oh well I did have quite a bit of time to spend with my books during this past week.

It's been a few months since I last did a book haul, thanks to the fact that I'm still on a book buying ban, and thus, have not had any books to haul. I'm still missing sharing books hauls on my blog though, so I thought today it would be fun to do a library haul, since it's also been quite awhile since I last shared one of those.

Here's the books I currently have checked out from our local library:

1) The Captain's Christmas Family by Deborah Hale:

I'd had this Love Inspired Historical series on my TBR list for quite sometime, and my friend read it around Christmas time and highly recommended it. With the fact that the recent budget cuts to our library have made it harder to request books to order from other regions, I finally decided to give this one a go, since our local library had it in their catalog.

So far I'm really enjoying it, and I love the humorous moments that the two young girls bring to the table.

2) Just To Be With You by Bella Andre:

I previously really enjoyed most of Bella's books in the San Francisco Sullivans series. However, so far I really can't say I feel the same way about the Seattle Sullivans series, and this one has definitely not helped to change my mind. I find it so far to be a tad over the top, and both characters to be slightly obnoxious. I'm also a little tired of reading about wealthy people hooking up with other wealthy people. I much preferred some of her earlier Sullivan novels like Megan and Gabe's story. I'll definitely still be finishing this one, but I'm not sure if I'll continue on with this series after that or not.

3) Rescue Me by Susan May Warren:

I had the pleasure of getting to read and review the first book in this series thanks to the publisher and Netgalley, and you can see my review here

Ever since then, I've been anxiously anticipating the release of the second book, as while there were plot developments I wasn't a fan of in the first book, I do hope the second book will finally answer some questions regarding the mystery introduced in the novella and first book.

4) Peter and the Sword of Mercy by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson:

The last book I currently have checked out is the fourth installment in the Peter and the Starcatchers middle grade series. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what antics Peter's going to get up to with his new group of lost boys, and I'm thinking this is the book I'll probably be reading the most from this weekend.

That's my current library haul guys! I'm hoping to have a nice, quiet weekend at home with my books. And other than working my usual shift tomorrow, I really hope it stays that way. :)

Thanks so much for reading, have a great weekend, and I'll see you all again on Monday.
