The Save Saskatchewan Library Movement Was A Success!

Happy Wednesday Guys!

I hope you're all having a great week so far.

Mine has honestly been really long already, but it's been an amazing week nonetheless.

If you remember me telling you all in an earlier blog post (here)

The Saskatchewan government had cut major funding to the whole provincial library system, and as a result library programs all over were being forced to shut down, and certain rural libraries were in danger of having to do the same thing.

Petitions and Protests were called to help show our premiere just what our local libraries mean to us here in Saskatchewan, and guys I can't even begin to express my excitement that it worked!!

The Finance Minister has admitted that they made a mistake, and the library budget has been reinstated!

On top of being ecstatic that the library will be here for future generations to love the same way that I have for so many years, it always gives me hope that there's still a good number of people in my province that understand the importance of reading, and availability of free books for all.

I couldn't wait to share this exciting news with you guys, but I will definitely be back on Friday with an actual review since it's been a couple of weeks since I last posted one.

Thanks so much for reading guys!

And I'll see you all next time. :)
