The Star Wars Book Tag

Hello Everyone :) I hope you're all having a great week so far, and I want to thank you all for joining me here on The Preppy Book Princess. As many of you are probably already aware, I really love doing book tags. There was a time when I was constantly posting book tags on my blog, but in the last little while I've gotten busier with book reviews and such, and as a result, I haven't really posted that many book tags. Some of you also might not be aware that I truly love Star Wars. While I may not be an expert like many within the fandom are, I truly love the Star Wars world, and I've watched the movies multiple times, read a lot of the books, have a ton of merch, etc. etc. In fact, I cosplayed as R2D2 at the very first comic con type of expo I went to earlier this year, and my hubby and I were originally supposed to be visiting Disney World next month to see Galaxy's Edge at Hollywood Studios. Unfortunately, work commitments came up, and we are no longer ab

Mandie and Jonathan's Predicament by Lois Gladys Leppard Review

Happy Wednesday Everyone :) I hope you're all having a great week so far! Mine has actually been really great. I ended up spending Sunday at my Aunt and Uncle's farm with a few of my family members to celebrate a birthday. It was so nice getting to spend time with family, enjoy delicious food, and explore their gorgeous property. Monday I had a pretty productive day around the house, and then ended up working for a few hours. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of getting to go shopping and for Starbucks with one of my friends, and I ended up purchasing a gorgeous sweater that will be perfect for the upcoming chilly fall days. It was extra exciting that the Starbucks fall items are out now, and I got to try a pumpkin spice frappuccino made with creme base since I'm not a coffee fan, and also a delicious pumpkin scone. I know this was a super long winded intro, but I wanted to share just how lovely this week has been so far. A couple of weeks ago on my blog, I reviewed a t

The Queen's Resistance by Rebecca Ross

Hello Bookish Friends :) I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. A few days ago I shared my review for The Queen's Rising by Rebecca Ross which you can find here.   I was blown away by just how much I enjoyed it, especially since I hadn't been having the greatest luck with the fantasy genre lately. With how much I enjoyed the first book, I was really looking forward to diving into the second. However, I was also a little nervous, as I didn't know if it could possibly live up to the amazing book first. Today I'd like to share with you all what I thought after finishing reading the second book. The Queen's Resistance by Rebecca Ross: Source: Library Publisher: HarperTeen Publication Date: March 5th, 2019 Genre: Young Adult/Fantasy Series: The Queen's Rising Synopsis: The highly anticipated sequel to The Queen’s Rising! Hello Everyone :) I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. One of perhaps the most exciting things is when one of your favorite authors has a new book release. Even more exciting is when you get the opportunity to read the book before it officially releases. I couldn't wait to dive into Colleen Coble's upcoming release when I got it from NetGalley, and now that I've finished it, I can't wait for it to release so that you guys can all experience this amazing story as well! Strands of Truth by Colleen Coble: Source: Publisher Via NetGalley Publisher: Thomas Nelson Publication Date: September 10th, 2019 Genre: Christian Fiction/Suspense/Mystery Synopsis: Suspense melds with romance as the past meets the present in this engrossing new novel from  USA TODAY  bestselling author Colleen Coble. Summer Vacation Book Tag :)

Hello Everyone :) I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another post here on The Preppy Book Princess. It's been such a long time since I did a book tag, that I honestly don't even remember what the last one was that I posted. However, I'd really missed doing them, since they're always such a fun thing to participate in, and I thought today would be the perfect day to post another one. For today's post, I chose The Summer Vacation Book Tag, which was created by Em from Keystroke Blog. I figured since I'm not taking a summer vacation this year, that maybe participating in this tag would help combat the vacation blues a little. (or at least I can hope lol!) First Day of Summer:  A New Book You Have Been Waiting To Read Maybe This Time by Kasie West: Kasie West is one of my favorite authors, and I'm really looking forward to reading her newest release. Unfortunately though, I have a bad habi

Mandie and The Courtroom Battle by Lois Gladys Leppard Review

Hello Everyone :) I hope you're all having a great week, and that you're looking forward to the weekend. Do you have any fun plans this weekend? Mine mainly revolve around working, but I am looking forward to curling up with a couple of exciting ARCs I currently have from NetGalley. I've mentioned before on my blog that I adored the Mandie books growing up. Yet somehow, I've never reviewed any of them on my blog before today. I decided that definitely needed to change, and so when I finished rereading another Mandie title this past weekend, I knew I needed to share about it with you all. Mandie and the Courtroom Battle by Lois Gladys Leppard: Source: Library Publisher: Bethany House Publication Date: November 1st, 1996 Genre: Christian Fiction/Middle Grade Synopsis: Etta Shaw, Mandie's stepmother, has been the source of unending problems for Mandie. Girl Defined by Kristen Clark and Bethany Baird Review

Hello Bookish Friends :) I hope you're all doing well, and I hope you're all having a great summer. Mine has been crazy busy to say the least, but that's always the case for me when it comes to summer. Unfortunately, summer is our busiest time of the year at work, and as such, I don't have a lot of free time to truly enjoy it.  Thankfully, the busy season will be starting to slow down in the coming weeks, and then hopefully I'll have much more time for blogging and bookstagram. Today I'd like to share a book review with you all for a Christian non-fiction title that really impacted how I view femininity, the future, and living a purpose filled life. I hope it'll inspire all of you the way that it did me!
