The Happy Camper by Melody Carlson Review

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray that wherever you're reading from today that you're staying safe and healthy. My hubby is still working right now, but other than that we are completely staying at home, unless we absolutely need necessities. I've been taking advantage of being at home so much to try out some new recipes, and to get ahead on the pile of review books that are releasing in the next few weeks. How are you coping with everything going on with the covid-19 situations? Are you at home, or are you still in the workforce? What have you been doing to keep yourself entertained while at home? Today, I'm excited to share a new book review with you all. I really think it's important to do everything we can as book bloggers right now to get the word out about new books. With the library closures and independent book store closures because of the virus, it's a little harder for books to succeed right now, and I want to try and do my part to help ea

O.W.L.S. Magical Readathon TBR 2020

Happy Sunday Friends :) I have a bonus post this week to share, as this Wednesday is the official start of the O.W.L.S magical readathon hosted by G from Book Roast on Youtube, and I'm extremely excited to be participating for the first time ever. I did take part in the bonus readathon she hosted at Christmastime, but this is my first time participating in the full thing. I will leave links at the bottom of this post to the Magical Readathon Website, G's announcement video, and the Magical Readathon Twitter. Basically this readathon is a Harry Potter themed readathon in that the spring readathon is themed to the O.W.L.S and the summer one is themed to the N.E.W.T.S. You have to pick a career choice, and then complete your "O.W.l.S." by completing reading challenges for each class. After much deliberation, I decided to go with "Care of Magical Children" for my career choice, and it requires 8 O.W.L.S, or 8 reading prompts. Which are the following:

First Line Friday: Take a Chance on Me

Happy Friday Everyone :) I pray that this week finds you safe and healthy, and protected from all the craziness in these uncertain times. I'm going to be off of work for a couple of weeks, and will not be leaving my house unless absolutely necessary. I've been enjoying catching up on the pile of ARC's I have releasing in the next few weeks, and the one I'm most excited about is probably Becky Wade's upcoming release. Before I could get to that one though, I needed to read the prequel novella that she recently released, and it's going to be my pick for this week's First Line Friday. If you're unfamiliar with First Line Friday, it's a weekly meme hosted by the lovely ladies at Hoarding Books, and it simply involves sharing the first line of the book you're currently reading. Take a Chance on Me by Becky Wade: About the Book: When baker Penelope Quinn steps in to help her brother’s family through a medical crisis, she’s forced into

The Socialite by J'nell Ciesielski Review

Happy Wednesday Friends :) There's a lot of unease and concern over the current state of the uncertain times our world is currently finding itself in. I pray that wherever you're reading from today, that you're staying safe and healthy, and choosing to stay home as much as humanly possible to do so. I've going to be off work for at least a couple of weeks, so I will only be leaving my house if I absolutely need necessities, and have no choice but to run out to the store for a few things. I'm planning on catching up with the pile of ARC's that was building up quickly while I've been so busy with work, and I'm hoping to have some time to try some more creative things with my blog and other social medias. I've also already been trying some new recipes for cooking and baking things, and I hope to continue that as well. Today I'd like to share with you all a review of an upcoming April book release. Puzzle Pieces by Rachael Bloome Review

Hello Everyone :) How has your week been going so far? Mine's been a little crazy as I've been picking up a lot of extra shifts at work lately. It's been good though too as it's allowed me time to check some more things off my to do list at work. However, because of how much I've been working, I haven't had quite as much time for reading and reviewing. When these situations emerge, one of my favorite things to do is read novella length books. It allows me to still be able to read, and still have time to write reviews on my blog for you guys. Recently I finished a lovely little clean romance novella, and today I'm excited to share it with you all. Rachael Bloome's The Clause In Christmas was one of my favorite reads from last year, and you can find that review here . I was really excited to dive into another story from her. First Line Friday: The Inheritance

Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you're all had a great week and that you're staying safe no matter where you are. I haven't been leaving my house much lately other than for work, and because of this, I've had lots of reading time on my hands. Last year my hubby and I took a road trip that included a visit to our favorite bookstore, and we decided to each pick a book that wouldn't be our first choice. The purpose was to try and read something that still interested us, but would maybe be a bit different than what we would typically go for first. My pick ended up being The Inheritance by Michael Phillips, a book I actually ended up being quite excited about, despite never having heard of it prior. Unfortunately, it ended up sitting on my bookshelf ever since, and I'm so thankful I finally got the opportunity to pick it up and start reading it this past week. Flight Risk by Cara Putman Review

Hello Friends :) Thank you for joining me here today on The Preppy Book Princess. Can I just say that our world is a little scary right now. Everything seems out of sorts, and so many people are giving in to panic and hysteria. I'm thankful more than ever for faith, and to be able to turn all of the turmoil I've been dealing with over to our Heavenly Father. Every single day I'm thankful that He's always there, and always has a hand on each and every situation. Since I haven't really been leaving my house much other than to go to work, I've had lots of reading time on my hands, and I've found myself flying through quite a few books the last few weeks. Today I'd like to share my review of an upcoming April 2020 release with you all. Silent Shadows by Natalie Walters Review

Happy Monday Everyone :) How are you holding up with what's going on with the coronavirus? My job isn't one that can be done from home, but we're being extremely careful to keep distance and whatnot from each other, and pretty much all my hubby and I are doing is going to work and then going home. Wherever you are, I'm praying you're staying safe and healthy throughout these scary times. Now onto to happier things:  March has been a pretty good reading month so far, and there's so many amazing books releasing this month that it's hard to keep up with them all. Last year, I had the pleasure of reading and reviewing the first two books in Natalie Walters' Harbored Secrets series, which you can read here and here, and I completely loved them. The final book in the trilogy was one of my most anticipated releases for 2020, and I'm so excited for you all to get to read this one at the end of the month. Silent Shadows by Natalie Walters:

Asking For All Of Your Help

Hello Friends :) I don't normally post things like this on my blog, but I feel like this particular situation deserves an exception. For the last couple of years, my sister has been trying to help a little boy named Clyne Solano who was born with a condition called congenital hydranencephaly. This poor little boy has known so many unfair struggles in his three years, and yet now he's facing his greatest challenge yet. He's now dependent on a mechanical ventilator to breathe, and is confined to the hospital until his mother can raise enough money to purchase one of these machines for their own home. Right now this concern is even more important with COVID-19 on the rise, and his poor immune system already being compromised as much as it is.  Him and his mom are in much need of prayers, love and financial support, and my big sis is trying to help them with this by starting a GO Fund Me page for him. I encourage all of you to pray for this poor family, and if you are

First Line Friday: When Comes The Spring

Happy Friday Everyone :) This week's edition of First Line Friday is technically supposed to be in celebration of St. Patrick's Day, but I actually really struggled to come up with a book that would fit within this category. So instead I decided to focus on spring themed books, as we've finally seen a glimpse of some beautiful spring temperatures this week. First Line Friday is hosted by the lovely ladies over at Hoarding Books , and is a fun, weekly blog meme where you simply share the first line of the book you're currently reading. One of my all time favorite spring themed reads has to be this beloved favorite by Janette Oke, and is of course one that I can read over and over again without ever tiring of it. Plus, the cover has some green hues on it, so I figured it might just work for St. Patrick's Day as well. (Yes I realize I'm slightly grasping at this one.) My hubby and I will just be staying home and working, but I'm hoping to have lots of time to curl up with amazing books. Speaking of amazing books, I couldn't be more excited to share today's review with you all. This book is literally mind blowing, and I loved it so very much. I'm getting ahead of myself though, so I'm going to save all my other thoughts and opinions for the actual review, and I can't wait for you all to get the opportunity to read this one. Sealed Off by Barbara Ross Review

Good Morning Everyone :) How's your week been so far? Mine's been a little crazy as there seems to be a lot going on right now, but I never mind the busyness as it makes me feel productive. Since the days has been so busy lately, I've especially been enjoying curling up with a book before bed to unwind and relax, and I've read quite a few amazing reads lately. I've been reading the Maine Clambake series by Barbara Ross for a few years, and it's definitely become one of my all time favorite cozy mystery series. I couldn't wait to dive into the newest release in the series, and after finishing it I knew I needed to share my thoughts and opinions about it with you all.
