Mid Year Freak Out Tag: 2020 Edition

Hello Bookish Friends :) I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you for joining me  here on The Preppy Book Princess. I've been seeing the Mid Year Freak Out Tag pop on up the bookternet at this time of year ever since I first started blogging. However, I've actually never participated in it before, and I decided that this was the year I needed to go ahead and change that. What is the best book that you've read so far in 2020? Nicole Deese is a fantastic storyteller, and I'm still thinking about this heartwrenching story months after finishing it. I loved Joshua and Lauren's romance, and the light that is shone on adoption, and families being more than just blood. I have a feeling this may end up being my favorite book of the entire year. What has been your favorite sequel of the first half of the year? I adored this one, and ended up loving it just as much as I did the first book in the series. I can't wait to read Grace's story later this ye

However, for today's post, I decided to go with one of the NetGalley books I'm currently reading that's going to be released in less than two weeks,

First Line Friday: What Momma Left Behind

Happy Friday Everyone! I hope you all had a great week, and that you're looking forward to the weekend. First Line Friday is one of my favorite weekly memes, and it simply consists of sharing the first line of the book you're currently reading. I've had a lot of extra reading time on my hands lately because of all the social distancing, and as such, I've been able to read a lot of the titles that have been sitting on my shelves for quite some time. Today's book is one of such titles, and I'm happy that I finally found the time to get to it as I'm really enjoying it so far.
