Autumn Skies by Denise Hunter Review

 Happy Tuesday Everyone :)

It's October 20th and that means it's officially time for the book I'm going to be reviewing with you all today to release.

That's especially exciting cause usually when I post my reviews, you all have to wait at least a few days before you can go and grab it for yourselves, but this one is officially available right now for you all to go on and pick up.

Autumn Skies by Denise Hunter:

Source: Publisher via NetGalley

Publisher: Thomas Nelson

Publication Date: October 20th, 2020

Genre: Christian Fiction/Contemporary Romance

Series: Bluebell Inn Romance

Synopsis:

Facing the past is easier if you don’t have to face it alone.

The Bluebell Inn is turning a profit, and it’s time for the Bennett siblings to sell it and move on. Only Grace has plans to stay in the small lake town of Bluebell, North Carolina, where she hopes her growing outfitters business will save her from the loneliness of her siblings’ departure and the persistent sense of unworthiness in her life.

A gunshot wound resurrects the past for Secret Service agent Wyatt Jennings, and a mandatory leave of absence lands him in Bluebell. There he must come to grips with the tragedy that altered his life fourteen years ago.

When Wyatt books a room at the Bluebell Inn, sparks fly between him and Grace. She volunteers to be his mountain guide, and he soon opens up to her, drawn to her strength and sense of humor. But both are reticent to talk about the survivor’s guilt they each carry, and when their pasts finally collide, their budding romance might not survive the truth.

From the bestselling author of The Convenient Groom and A December Bride (now beloved Hallmark Original movies) comes the third and final novel in the Bluebell Inn series.

My Review:

Autumn Skies is the perfect ending to the Bluebell Inn Romance series, and I loved the way that Denise Hunter chose to wrap up each of the Bennett siblings' stories. I've been a little unhappy with some of the more recently published Christian fiction titles pushing the boundaries for the type of content that's included, and I can't even express how happy I was to see that this wasn't the case for this beautiful romance.

Grace and Wyatt's story is swoon worthy and emotional, and I especially enjoyed how much of it focuses around healing and needing to let go and let God. Even though the majority of the romance takes place over a short period, I never thought it felt unrealistic or like insta-love and instead felt perfectly believable to the reader. The plot twist at the end definitely shocked me, as I had in no way seen that one coming.

I have to say though, as much as I did enjoy Grace and Wyatt's story and a continuation of Mia and Levi's, my favorite part of this one ended up being the wrap up to Molly and Levi's story, and the way everything was settled once and for all with the beautiful inn they'd all come to know and love.

Overall, this one definitely met all my expectations, and Denise Hunter continues to be one of my all time favorite authors.

Final Rating: 4/5.

Thanks so much to Thomas Nelson for allowing me to advance read and review this!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance reader copy of this novel from the publisher (Thomas Nelson) via NetGalley. I was not required to give a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thanks so much for reading guys! Enjoy your beautiful day :)
