Three Missing Days by Colleen Coble Review

 Happy Monday Friends :)

How was your weekend?

Mine was pretty uneventful; and I've somehow managed to develop another ear infection which meant I pretty much stayed close to home. However, I was able to make great progress on some spring cleaning and organizing, and I was extremely thankful for some warmer temperatures.

Unfortunately, our city also saw a tragic event happen over this last weekend, and it once again reminded me just how short our days on this earth can truly be. I'm praying that everyone involved knew Jesus, and it really painted a vivid picture for me about just how important it is to spread the message of Jesus in anyway we possibly can.

One of the ways I've decided to do this is by focusing mainly on Christian fiction and non-fiction reviews for this blog. I will occasionally still post a review of a secular book, but I want my blog to serve as a light for Jesus and I also want to be a lot more careful about the type of medias I'm allowing myself to consume.

My purpose is to live for Jesus; not for myself.

And that ended up being a lot more winded than I had originally intended, but with all that being said, I'm very excited to talk to you all today about one of my favorite author's upcoming April book release.

I've been a fan of Colleen Coble's amazing novels for as long as I can remember. She's also my aunt's all time favorite author, so we spend quite a lot of time discussing her intricate mysteries and dastardly plots. I've really been enjoying her most recent series, and the final installment in the trilogy (that I'm reviewing for you all today) definitely sends out the series with a bang.

If you're interested you can check out my reviews of the first two books in the series here and here, and now let's jump right in to today's review.

My Review:

I've been waiting for what feels like forever to find out how Colleen Coble was going to wrap up her amazing new trilogy, and Three Missing Days was definitely worth the wait. Right from the opening pages, this well written, atmospheric novel had me glued to the mystery unfolding within it's pages, and is definitely one of Colleen Coble's best works to date. While I've honestly enjoyed this entire trilogy, I can say without a doubt that she saved the best for last for her faithful readers with this one.

Jane, Reid and Will have been through a lot in the short time they've been reunited, but none of them could have possibly been prepared for the sinister plot that's about to be ensnare them all. Jane and Reid's past had connections with the cult that they never could have dreamed, and it's about to blow up in their faces. When their teenage son, Will, is accused of committing a horrific crime that he never could have done, Jane and Reid will stop at nothing to clear his name. However, in doing so they will have to face skeletons they never could have dreamed, and Jane will have to come to terms with the fact that her memory has been locked from remembering "three missing days" that seems to hold the key to it all.

Told through both Jane and Reid's viewpoints, Three Missing Days is a suspenseful, action filled adventure from start to finish from one of the genre's best. I loved how realistic everything seemed; including the mystery, the continuing romance between Jane and Reid, the family struggles that need to be resolved, and the chaos that erupts when it's the police chief's son involved in the newest major crime. I was expecting great things from this one, but it ended up being even better than I was hoping for. I could barely bring myself to put it down once I started it, and I ended up reading the majority of it in one sitting.

My only complaint is that I personally found the villain to be extremely obvious; but surprisingly, even that didn't hinder my enjoyment of the story, and I still ended up being surprised at the way everything comes together in the end.

If you're a fan of Christian suspense, then I highly recommend picking this one up. Once again, Colleen Coble has delivered a nail biting, action packed story that will leave each and every reader caught up in Jane, Reid and Will's tumultuous story, and I'm honestly sad to see this series come to an end.

Final Rating: 5/5.

I can't possibly recommend this one enough!

Thanks so much to Thomas Nelson for allowing me to advance read and review this!

I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary advance reader copy of this novel from the publisher (Thomas Nelson) via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I was not required to give a positive review.

Thanks so much for reading guys! I hope your week is off to a great start, and I look forward to sharing another book review with you all on Wednesday!

God Bless :)
