Cheddar Late than Dead by Linda Reilly Review

Good Morning Everyone :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to drop by The Preppy Book Princess for another book review. It's New Years weekend, and I hope you all have fun plans to celebrate the gift of another year on it's way. I've never really been that into New Years, especially the partying side that always seems to accompany it, so I will either be watching a movie with my hubby after work tomorrow, or curling up with a great read. One genre I particularly enjoy reading at this time of year is cozy mysteries, and I recently got the chance to read one of my most anticipated 2023 releases within this genre. If you'd like to check out my review of a previous title in the series, you can do so using the link below. Otherwise keep on reading for my review of this upcoming release. Bend in the Road by Sara Biren Review

Hello Everyone :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I've been on a quest the last few months, which I've already talked about a little bit on my blog. I'm on a quest to find a good young adult contemporary novel (other than the ones by Kasie West who is my all time fave), and it's not really going that well. I used to love this genre, but oh the recent releases have left me so disappointed, and remind me again why it is that I stopped reading so many secular titles. The content in so many of them is downright atrocious, and I miss the days when young adult books weren't just adult books disguised as being for teenagers. With all that being said, let's dive right in to today's review, and I'll share whether or not this particular title ended up being what I was looking for. In Search of a Prince by Toni Shiloh Review

Good Morning Everyone :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I pray you all had a wonderful Christmas, and had time to reflect on the true meaning of the season, and spend some quality time with Jesus. I want to apologize for my absence the last week and a half or so. Unfortunately, work was ridiculously crazy, I ended up getting sick, and I had a million things to finish up before all the Christmas celebrations began. Now that thankfully I'm feeling much better, I'm looking forward to getting back to blogging, and I'm going to start working on all my yearly wrap ups in the very near future. For today however, I'm going to share my review for a title that I was highly anticipating, and I hope you'll all enjoy getting to read my review.  I don't really get the opportunity to review for Bethany House anymore unfortunately, as they've changed their guidelin

I'm Kirby, and as always, I'm excited that you've decided to stop by my little ole blog for some fun book talk. As December seems to fly on bye, I've definitely been in the mood for Christmas reads, and thankfully I've managed to find some time to read a few of them.  Today's review is from a title that I'd had on my TBR for quite sometime. I'm looking forward to sharing it with you all, and keep on reading below for my full review. Restoring their Family by Allie Pleiter Review

Happy Monday Friends :) Can you believe Christmas is officially less than two weeks away! That's honestly a little hard to believe, and I feel like I still have quite a bit to get done before that. Last week, I ended up taking a couple of days off from my blog to go away on a quick holiday with my hubby, and it was nice getting to spend some time prioritizing each other's company. Today we also both have the day off work, and I'm hoping to get caught up on my blog, do some Christmas baking, and also get some wrapping checked off my list. I'm thankful that all my Christmas shopping is officially done, but there's still quite a few other things to check off my to do list. However, I'm thankful to step away from the craziness for a few moments, and share my review of a wonderful upcoming title with you all. A few months back, I shared my review of the first title in Allie Pleiter's True North Springs Love Inspired series with you all, and you can check out th

Della and Darby by Susannah B. Lewis Review

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to stop by my little corner of the internet. My husband and I actually have this week off of work for a much needed holiday, and I'm excited for the many fun things we have planned. Aside from the fun things, I'm honestly thankful to have some extra time to get my house back in shape, and to get more organized for Christmas. I also hope to have lots of time to curl up with some great reads, and I recently had a chance to read one of my most anticipated 2023 releases! Earlier in the year, I read my first novel by Susannah B. Lewis, and I couldn't have loved it more. It was definitely one of my favorite reads of this entire year, and I've been looking forward to reading her next release ever since. If you'd like to check out that review, you can do so using the link below: Bless Your Heart Rae Sutton Otherwise, keep on reading down below for today's full review. De

One Enchanted Eve by Melissa Tagg Review

Hello Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I'm Kirby, and if you didn't already know, I absolutely adore Christmas books. It's officially December, and I'm ready to start sharing all the Christmas reviews. Of course, I will still have some non Christmas reads to share with you all this month as well, but I'm hoping to get to share many reviews of Christmas themed reads before the end of December.  A couple of years ago, I had read and loved the first title in Melissa Tagg's Enchanted Christmas collection. You can check out that review below: One Enchanted Christmas I always wanted to go back and read the other titles in the series, and I finally had the chance to do so. Today I can't wait to share with you all my review of the second title in this wonderful series, and you can keep reading below to check out my full review. One Enchanted Eve by

The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Good Morning Bookish Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I've mentioned quite a few times on my blog in the last couple of years that I don't read too much secular fiction anymore. Young Adult Fiction used to be my absolute favorite, but over the last while I've grown really disheartened with the amount of unnecessary content being included in so many of the titles. However, every once in a while I'll find a title that intrigues me, and decide to give it a go. Usually, however, I end up getting these titles from either the library or the online library app, as that was if the book isn't what I'm expecting, I don't end up having to regret spending the money on it. I'd heard a lot lately about Jennifer Lynn Barnes' The Inheritance Games. It sounded unlike anything I'd ever read before, and honestly, I'd heard quite a few other Ch

Words Composed of Sea and Sky by Erica George Review

Hello Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. Young Adult Contemporaries used to be my absolute favorite genre. I voraciously read each and every one I could find, and I used to love so many of them. Unfortunately, in the last few years I've started to notice a downwards trend within this genre.  They are no longer clean or cutesy, and instead are chocked full of inappropriate content, and I find myself really having to weed through the available titles. I've gotten a lot fussier over the last couple of years about the types of content I allow myself to read, watch and listen to, and I've honestly  gotten to the point where I don't often pick up a secular young adult title anymore, unless I know good and sure that the author keeps them fairly clean. I've been disappointed with the majority of the ones I've read in the past year or so, but I recently f

The Keeper by Suzanne Woods Fisher Review

Hello Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I went through a really rough time a few weeks back, and all I found myself wanting to read was Amish fiction. I love how uplifting this genre is, and it seemed exactly what I needed to take my mind off of everything else. It also seemed the perfect time to read some of the books I had sitting on my own shelf that I'd never gotten to, and today I'm here to share the first of these reviews with you all. Keep reading below for my full review. The Keeper by Suzanne Woods Fisher: Source: Christmas Gift from my Hubby Publisher: Revell Publication Date: January 1st, 2012 Genre: Christian Fiction/Amish Fiction Series: Stoney Ridge Seasons Synopsis: A family. Dark of Night by Colleen Coble Review

Good Evening Everyone :) I'm posting this a little later than normal, but that's because I actually just got back from a quick getaway with my hubby. We had a wonderful night away celebrating his birthday a little early, and getting some Christmas shopping done. I'm thankful we were able to have this time together, and I'm also thankful I get to share another book review with you all to round out the evening. I've been a longtime fan of Colleen Coble, but I have to be honest that I wasn't too fond of the first book in her new series. I was still invested enough to want to continue on with the rest of the series however, so if you'd like to read my review of the first book, you can do so using the link below.
