Five and Dime Christmas: Four Historical Novellas by Cynthia Hickey, Susanne Dietze, Patty Smith Hall and Christina Lorenzen Review

Happy Wednesday Friends :) I hope you are all having a great week, and I want to thank you for choosing to stop by The Preppy Book Princess today. I'm Kirby, and I love sharing reviews of the many books I devour on a regular basis with you all. I'm not much of a summer person if I'm being honest. I don't love the heat, big crowds or bugs, and that pretty describes summer where I'm from. I wait all year for fall, and my favorite months of the year are September through December. To say I've been a little impatient this year waiting for fall to arrive is an understatement, and one thing that's been helping along the way is reading wonderful stories that are set during either the fall or Christmas seasons. Today I'm excited to be bringing you all another book review of an upcoming 2022 Christmas story, and I can't wait to tell you all about this wonderful title. This one actually releases tomorrow, and I can guarantee that you're not going to want

The Phantom of Nantucket by Carolyn Keene Review

Hello Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me here on The Preppy Book Princess for another book review. I've been enjoying working my way through the Nancy Drew Diaries, as I've loved seeing one of my favorite literary figures in a new era for a new generation. While I wouldn't necessarily say this series is a new favorite, it's definitely been an enjoyable experience, and I'm excited to share another review from it with you all today. If you're interested in checking out my reviews of the previous books in the series, you can do so using the links below: The Curse of the Arctic Star Strangers on a Train Mystery of the Midnight Rider Once Upon a Thriller Sabotage at Willow Woods Secret at Mystic Lake A Nancy Drew Christmas Keep reading below for my full review. Hometown Girl by Courtney Walsh Review

Hello Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. With summer temperatures still, unfortunately, in full swing around my area, I've found myself in the mood for reading lots of contemporary stories. Although this probably isn't a surprise because contemporaries remain one of my all time favorite genres, and as long as they're clean, I typically gobble them right up. I've read a few of Courtney Walsh's books in the past, but I finally recently got around to reading a title of hers that I'd had sitting on my bookshelf for quite some time. Did I love it? Did I hate it? Did it end up being one of the best books I read this year? Keep reading below for my full review to find out. Dear Santa by Debbie Macomber Review

Hello Everyone :) I hope today finds you all doing well, and I'm so glad you decided to stop by The Preppy Book Princess today. I'm Kirby, and I love sharing my thoughts and opinions about the many books I read with you all. One of my all time favorite authors is Debbie Macomber, and I've shared quite a few reviews of her books on my blog over the years. It may be a little weird to be sharing a Christmas book review with you all in August, but I ended up being on the waiting list for newest title quite a bit past Christmas, and as such, I ended up reading it quite a bit after the season was over. You guys know I quite often read Christmas books throughout the entire year, so it's probably not too shocking that I'm sharing a review of a Christmas book with you all when it's nowhere near Christmas. However, on the other hand, if you think about the fact that fall is finally just around the corner, that means that Christmas is no longer that far away either so ma

Within These Gilded Halls by Abigail Wilson Review

Hello Everyone :) Happy Friday, and thank you for choosing to stop by The Preppy Book Princess today. I'm Kirby, and I'm excited to share a review with you all for the upcoming release from one of my favorite historical fiction authors. I'm not necessarily a mood reader, as I can honestly read books at anytime of the year including Christmas books out of season and whatnot. However, one of my favorite times to pick up mysteries is during the fall months, as they just seem that much more atmospheric. Since we've been having an awful crazy heat wave where I live, I've been living vicariously through many mysteries, as it keeps me hoping that fall will hopefully be here before we know it. I'm excited to share today's review with you all, and I hope you'll keep on reading below to find out if this upcoming book release lived up to all my expectations. Secret at Mystic Lake by Carolyn Keene Review

Hello Everyone :) I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. Are your reading preferences changing as the weather starts to turn toward fall? I do read a lot of the same books year round, but there are definitely books I love reading during each particular season. One genre that I especially love reading as we move more into the fall and winter months is mysteries. There's something especially atmospheric about reading this genre during these particular months.  Last year, I started reading the middle grade Nancy Drew Diaries series, and I've really been enjoying it. It's definitely been nostalgic for me, and I've shared reviews from all the books I've read so far from this series on my blog. You can check out those reviews below: Curse of the Arctic Star Strangers on a Train Mystery of the Midnight Rider Once Upon a Thriller Sabotage at Willow Woods A Nancy Drew Christmas

Worthy of Legend by Roseanna M. White Review

Happy Wednesday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. It's officially August 15th, and I'm so hopeful that fall is finally just around the corner. Unfortunately, we're in the middle of an awful heat wave that's not supposed to go anywhere anytime soon, and I'm beyond ready for summer to finally go away, and my favorite season to be ushered in. I've been spending a lot of time inside reading great books amidst this heat wave, and I'm especially excited to to get to share today's review with you all. I've already read and reviewed the first two titles in Roseanna M. White's Secrets of the Isles trilogy, and you can check out those using the links below: The Nature of a Lady To Treasure an Heiress Due to Bethany House recently changing their qualifications for being approved to read their arc titles, I wasn't expecting to get to rea

Wishtress by Nadine Brandes Review

Happy Friday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I'm so thankful that it's already August 12th today, as that means August will be over before we know it, and we can finally move of out the awful summer season, and into the wonderfulness that is fall. Are you a fan of summer? Or like me do you prefer the fall time of the year? I'm not crazy about the heat, and I'm much more a fan of chilly, rainy days. I also can't stand bugs or crowds, and I've noticed both seem even worse than usual this year. Also, I often find people seem grumpier in the summer, and I'm not sure if that's from the heat, or trying to keep up with busy schedules, but fall always seems to usher in with it a more serene setting, and it's another reason I love it so much. This summer I've been spending a lot of time hiding in my quiet, air conditioned house with gre

To Treasure an Heiress by Roseanna M. White Review

Hello Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. Last year, I read my first novel by Roseanna M. White, and I ended up loving it. You can check out that review below: The Nature of a Lady The second title in the series was on my list of most anticipated releases for 2022 , and I was so excited to dive into it. Unfortunately for me, Bethany House has become a lot stickier about who they approve to read their titles from NetGalley, and so I wasn't approved to read it, and had to end up waiting for the Libby App in my library region to get it. Once it was finally my turn to read it, I dived right in, and today I'm here to tell all of you whether it lived up to the hype I had for it. Keep reading below for my full review. A Quilt for Christmas by Melody Carlson Review

Happy Friday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I'm back after a lovely few days at the lake with my family. Of course not everything went quite as we planned, but I think that's kind of just par for the course somedays. Regardless, we did have a wonderful holiday, but I'm thankful to be back at home with my husband and kitties, and am thankful to be back here sharing another book review with you all. Melody Carlson has become one of my favorite authors over the last several years, and while I look forward to all of her new book releases, there's just something extra special about her Christmas releases. I recently had the chance to read her upcoming 2022 Christmas release, and I can't wait to to share all about it with you all today. Keep reading down below for my full review. I'm looking forward to swimming, spending time with my family, and curling up with some great reads. Before I head off however, I wanted to jump on here and review a wonderful story that I recently had the opportunity to read.
