In the Shadow of the River by Ann H. Gabhart Review

Happy Wednesday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. If I'm being honest, this week has been a bit of a rough one so far. We've had several big, unexpected expenses fall on our doorstep, and there's been also a bit of hurtful drama that's definitely caused some stress and hurt feelings. However, I'm so thankful for Jesus through all of these tough times, and I'm honestly not sure how people who don't know Him make it through all of life's challenges. I'm trying my best to focus on my blessings rather than on the bad stuff, and one of those blessings is the many Christian fiction titles I get to read and review for all of you. I recently had the chance to read a wonderful Christian historical fiction title that I can't wait to tell you all about it, and I hope you'll all keep reading down below for my full review. Rematch by Erynn Mangum Review

Hello Everyone :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I can pretty much title my reading year in 2022 as the "year I fell in love with Erynn Mangum's books." While I had read one of her titles previously, I ended up literally inhaling so many of her titles last year, and honestly loving every single one. Her books are the books that young Christian girls desperately needed on the market, and I can't possibly recommend her writing enough. Today I'm excited to share another review of one of her fantastic titles, and I hope you'll keep reading below for today's full review. If you'd like to check out my review of the first title in the series, you can do so using the link below: Miss Match Rematch by Lauren Holbrook: Source: Library Publisher: Think Publication Date: August 23rd, 2007 Genre: Christian Fiction/Contemporary Series: Lauren Holbrook Synop

Halloween Party Murder by Leslie Meier, Lee Hollis, and Barbara Ross Review

Hello Everyone :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. If you're new around here, then welcome! I'm Kirby, and I'm so thankful you decided to stop by my little bookish corner of the internet. If you've been here before, then welcome back! I'm so glad you're here! If you have read my blog before, you probably remember that I'm a big fan of cozy mysteries. However, I prefer my cozies to be clean and cozy, and I'm not a fan of some of the newer ones that are stocked full of objectionable content. One of my current fave authors within this genre is Barbara Ross, and I love her Maine Clambake series. She's included novellas from this series within a few cozy mystery novella collections, and today I'd like to share my review with you all of one of the more recent releases. This particular release includes stories from three different authors and the

In Firefly Valley by Amanda Cabot Review

Hello Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review. Within the last couple of years, I've become a big fan of Amanda Cabot's wonderful Christian historical fiction titles. I love the mystery, the romance, and the excellent faith portrayal. When I discovered she had a contemporary series as well, I knew I wanted to go ahead and give it a try. Unfortunately, I didn't end up enjoying the first title in that series as much as I did her historical stories. You can find that review below: At Bluebonnet Lake However, I was still invested enough to want to go ahead and read the second title in the series, and today I'm here to share with you all what I ended up thinking about that one. Keep reading below for my full review. Blind Trust by Natalie Walters Review

Happy Monday Everyone :) I pray you all had a great weekend, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. Before I jump right into today's review, I want to take a minute and say that my prayers are with everyone affected by the horrific shooting in Allen Texas this past weekend. It's unimaginable that this kind of evil has struck again, and I pray over that entire region, and I ask that you would all do the same. As well, my prayers are with everyone who has been evacuated and endangered from the dangerous wildfires rampaging throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan right now. This entire situation has also been weighing heavily on my heart, and I pray for everyone's safety, including the residents, the volunteers, and the many first responders risking their own lives to try and fight against the out of control blazes. I'm feeling extremely blessed to be safe in my home this morning, and it's a reminder of just h

Paige Torn by Erynn Mangum Review

Hello Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I'm Kirby, and I'm delighted you decided to stop by my little bookish corner of the internet. As someone who has been book blogging for over seven years (!), I can't tell you how important I think it is to make sure you're continuing to read for fun, and not just for review. I love getting to read and review the many complimentary copies I've been so fortunate to receive from authors and publishers over the years since I started my blog, but I still try and make sure that I'm continuing to read books purely for fun, either from the library or my own home collection. I do usually still end up reviewing these titles on my blog as well, but I can do so at my own pace, and don't have to worry about being on a deadline, or remembering to keep notes while I'm reading. Today's review is for a book tha

Man of Shadow and Mist by Michelle Griep

Happy Monday, and Happy May 1st all my bookish lovelies :) Can I be honest that I'm so thankful it's finally the start of a new month. April was a pretty brutal month for me, as I unfortunately had to deal with a lot of hurt and smallness directed towards me that had me more thankful than ever for Jesus, my amazing hubby, and the many wonderful fiction titles I got to curl up with over the span of the month. However, it's time for a fresh start, and even though summer is not my favorite time of the year, I'm determined to try and find something to be thankful for in each and every season. This May, I'm thankful for my growing faith, upcoming quality time with my hubby, and the many wonderful Christian fiction authors who continue to write stories that us Christian fiction readers happily gobble up. I'm especially excited to share today's title with you all as it's truly unlike anything I'd ever read before. I hope you'll all keep reading down b
