For today, I want to share a review from a book that's been one of my favorites I've read so far this year.
If you've been reading my blog for awhile, then you'd probably know that my all time favorite book trope is "the famous person falling for the regular person." I've read so many books that have this plot line, and yet somehow I'd never realized that Jenny B Jones has a Christian fiction young adult novel about this.
I knew I had to jump into this one, and I can't wait to share with all of you what I thought about it.

Beckett Rush, teen heartthrob and Hollywood bad boy, is flying to Ireland to finish filming his latest vampire movie. On the flight, he meets Finley. She's the one girl who seems immune to his charm. Undeterred, Beckett convinces her to be his assistant in exchange for his help as a tour guide.
Once in Ireland, Finley starts to break down. The loss of her brother and the pressure of school, her audition, and whatever it is that is happening between her and Beckett, leads her to a new and dangerous vice. When is God going to show up for her in this emerald paradise?
Then she experiences something that radically changes her perspective on life. Could it be God convincing her that everything she s been looking for has been with her all along?

My Review:
I had a feeling going into this one that I was going to love it. It has my favorite book trope (the famous person falling for the regular person), it's a Christian young adult novel, and I'd heard nothing but great things about it. However, I think I was still ill prepared for just how much I was going to love this amazing story. I was expecting a sweet, clean romance that would leave me with a smile on my face, and while this book is partly that, it's so much more. Jenny B Jones gives such a realistic portrayal of grief, and the way learning to get through it can sometimes take more out of you than you have to give. The focus on trying to find God's voice amidst devastation is beautiful, and this story had me hooked line and sinker right from the opening lines.
Finley Sinclair isn't in the greatest place. Her beloved older brother who she adored, and who adored Jesus above all, was unfairly taken from her in a horrific circumstance. Since then she's struggled with her faith; as she doesn't understand how God could have let something like this happen. She's struggling to find the meaning of life, and she's slowly sinking in the process, including blowing her audition at a prestigious music academy. As a last resort, she decides to travel to an area of Ireland that her brother spent a year abroad, and claimed he heard God's voice there stronger than anywhere else. On the plane ride over, Finley happens to be seated next to Hollywood's hottest teen heartthrob-Beckett Rush, who's known for playing the lead in the glitzy romanticized vampire movies that have popped up everywhere.
Finley and Beckett don't get off to a great start, and she's certainly not prepared to keep seeing him everywhere-even the bed and breakfast that her host family runs. However, Beckett is in need of some inspiration that for some odd reason he keeps finding in Finley, and Finley needs a mode of transportation to get her to all the places that are mentioned in her brother's travel journey. Soon Finley and Beckett are depending on each other more than anyone else, and something more than friendship starts to form. Can a relationship truly work between them though when Finley is still healing from all the hurts in her past, and trying to find her way back to God? And with Beckett's career including many components that Finley could never stand behind, can she really trust that this is God's plan for her?
From start to finish, There You'll Be, is a beautifully written, heart wrenching contemporary story that focuses around hurting, healing, and finding your way back to God's never failing grace. The romance is beautiful, and very easy to root for. Both main character's will tug at your heartstrings as they continue on their journey to discovery who they're truly meant to be. The writing is gorgeous, and the pacing is perfect. I couldn't have enjoyed this one more honestly, and I'm only sorry it's taken me this long to get to reading my first Jenny B Jones novel. I will be very much anticipating seeing how well this one is going to be adapted into the upcoming movie!
