I've been absent from the last First Line Friday's, mainly due to my crazy work schedule, and I'm so very excited to be back this time to share the first line of an amazing book I'm currently reading.
If you're unfamiliar, First Line Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Hoarding Books, and involves sharing the first line of the book you're currently reading.

My Thoughts:
While I'm not too far into this one, I'm already captivated by what a beautifully told story it is. Susie Finkbeiner has a way of really pulling the reader into the story, and I'm having a hard time putting this one down. I love the focus on familial tensions, healing and moving forward, and finding your faith no matter how dark the times. I'm very much looking forward to finding out how everything's going to wrap up.

ReplyDeleteToday on my blog I shared the first 2 lines from Until the Mountains Fall by Connilyn Cossette but it's also my current read so I'll share the first line from chapter 7 where I am now: "I found my father on the roof, on his knees."
