The Billionaire's Destined Bride by Mandi Blake Review

Good Morning Everyone :)

I hope you all had a great weekend, and that your week is already off to a wonderful start.

I apologize for my lack of posts last week. Unfortunately, it seems that once a year I end up with a really bad cold that flares my asthma up something fierce, and this year, it happened right at the start of the New Year.

I wasn't really up to writing or reviewing last week, and was feeling pretty awful. However, the one silver lining when I do end up that sick is that I have lots of time to concentrate on reading really amazing books.

I finally had the chance to sit down uninterrupted with one of my most anticipated releases for this year, and I was definitely not disappointed.

The Billionaire's Destined Bride by Mandi Blake:

My Review:

Readers are in for a heartwarming treat when they pick up The Billionaire's Destined Bride by Mandi Blake. I had the pleasure of reading Mandi's Unfailing Love series in 2019, and they ended up being some of my favorite reads from the entire year. I was really looking forward to seeing how she was going to tackle such a completely different story line, and I was definitely not disappointed. This story was everything I could have possibly hoped for, and has easily become a new favorite.

Sophia and Cole are a couple that are easy to root for. Sophia's given her all to her family's company, and yet she feels she's about to be passed over for promotion when she's definitely the most deserving. Cole Bradford has been one of her family's top business partners for years, and he proposes an idea to help both of their companies futures-a marriage between the two of them to secure a stable alliance between their companies. What starts as a marriage of convenience however, soon blossoms into much more, and readers will adore getting to follow along during every step of their courtship.

I've personally always enjoyed stories about marriages of convenience, especially when they're used to highlight how God always has a perfect plan for His children if they're willing to follow His direction. In The Billionaire's Destined Bride, this trope is used perfectly to showcase that love can come softly, and feelings can grow into something  more permanent and beautiful when His direction is trusted and followed. I always appreciate that Mandi Blake keeps the faith element in all her stories at the forefront, and it's never swept or hidden away into the background. Cole and Sophia's faith is one of the best parts of the story, and it's refreshing to see two people in such prominent positions that value following Jesus above status or financial position.

I adored this one from start to finish, and I honestly had a hard time putting it down. Cole and Sophia are selfless and compassionate, and their love story is one of my favorites I've read in quite awhile. If you're looking for a sweet, heartwarming read to dive into, than definitely go ahead and pick this one up as I can guarantee you won't be disappointed. In this case, the beautiful cover definitely matches the amazing story within.

Final Rating: 5/5

Thanks so much to Mandi Blake for allowing me to advance read this one!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this novel. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I was not required to give a positive review.

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...
