Take a Chance on Me by Becky Wade Review

Hello Everyone :)

Can you believe it's already almost the end of April?

With all the craziness that existed for us all during the months of March and April, it felt like it literally went by in no time at all.

Since I'm still not currently working, I've been reading quite a few books as I've had lots of spare time on my hands.

One of my all time favorite authors, Becky Wade, has a new series coming out in May, and I currently have the first book from NetGalley. However, before I could start reading that one, I needed to read the prequel novella, and today I'd like to share a quick review of it with you all.

Take a Chance on Me by Becky Wade:

Source: Free through Ibooks

Publication Date: February 25th, 2020

Genre: Christian Fiction/Contemporary

Series: Misty River Romance

Synopsis:

When baker Penelope Quinn steps in to help her brother’s family through a medical crisis, she’s forced into close proximity with charming Air Force fighter pilot Eli Price.

Penelope has one iron-clad dating rule—she does not date airmen. Months ago, she relaxed her rule with Eli and immediately lived to regret it. After a long deployment, he’s now back in Misty River and, to her dismay, she finds him just as tempting as always.

Eli’s spent months thinking about funny, feisty, creative Penelope. He once leveraged his focus and drive to become a pilot, his childhood dream. Now he's set on leveraging that same focus and drive in order to convince Penelope to give him one more chance.

This romantic prequel novella introduces readers to the quaint mountain town of Misty River and a brand-new series from Christy-winning author Becky Wade!

My Review:

Becky Wade is one of my all time favorite authors, and I have yet to be disappointed in a book by her. Basically if Becky wrote it, I'm going to read it. I love that she's given her readers another prequell novella to her upcoming Misty River Romance series, the same way she did with her Bradford Sisters series.

Take a Chance on Me is truly a sweet treat in typical Becky Wade fashion. She's truly a genius at creating beautiful, well developed romances within the word count of a novella length story. Readers everywhere are going to fall head over heels in love with Eli and Penelope, and their quirky banter. I loved the history that exists between the two, and the obstacles they have to overcome in their quest for romance.

Misty River is truly the perfect, idyllic setting, and it just might become one of my new favorite fictional small towns to date.

If you're looking for a fun and clean romantic story that's guaranteed to have you swooning, then go ahead and pick up Take a Chance on Me.

I can't wait to read Sam's story in the upcoming first full length novel of the Misty River Romance series.

Do yourselves a favor and go "wade into a great book!"

Final Rating: 4/5

I highly recommend this one!

Thanks so much for reading guys! Have a great rest of your day :)

Della and Darby by Susannah B. Lewis Review

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to stop by my little corner of the internet. My husband and I actually have this week off of work for a much needed holiday, and I'm excited for the many fun things we have planned. Aside from the fun things, I'm honestly thankful to have some extra time to get my house back in shape, and to get more organized for Christmas. I also hope to have lots of time to curl up with some great reads, and I recently had a chance to read one of my most anticipated 2023 releases! Earlier in the year, I read my first novel by Susannah B. Lewis, and I couldn't have loved it more. It was definitely one of my favorite reads of this entire year, and I've been looking forward to reading her next release ever since. If you'd like to check out that review, you can do so using the link below: Bless Your Heart Rae Sutton Otherwise, keep on reading down below for today's full review. De...

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...
