I hope you're all enjoying these last few days of summer before school goes back, and are happily looking forward to fall.
Fall is by far my favorite season of the year, and I always eagerly anticipate it's arrival each and every year.
In the fall I find myself wanting to read thriller and suspense novels more as it just seems to fit with the aesthetic of the season, and I'm always a happy camper to pick up new titles by some of my all time favorite Christian suspense authors.
I don't think it's possible to be a fan of Christian suspense and not love Colleen Coble's books, and today I'm excited to share with you all my review of her upcoming September release.

My Review:
The first book in Colleen Coble's Pelican Harbor series hadn't been my favorite of hers, but I was really looking forward to continuing on with the rest of the story to find out more about Jane, Reid, Will and their tumultuous story. I will say that I'm a big fan of the way Colleen has chosen to write this series as a continuing story as it definitely keeps the reader wanting to come back for more. However, I don't personally recommend reading these out of order as I don't think the story would make as much sense if you'd missed all of the background info that was provided in the first title.
Many explosive secrets had been revealed in Jane and Reid's life at the end of the first book, and I knew that the second book was also going to be a wild ride. An environmental terrorism plot is brought to light, and it's tied up around a dastardly murder with many sinister players. Jane Hardy may just have found her most dangerous case yet; especially when the case turns personal when her teenage son is threatened and caught in the crossfire. Jane may not be on the best current terms with Will's father Reid, but it will take them both working together to discover who's behind the threats and see them brought to justice.
With a mystery that keeps readers guessing around every twist and turn, an emphasis on forgiveness, faith and redemption, and non stop action and suspense around every corner, Two Reasons to Run is another fantastically written novel by one of the genre's best, and I personally can't wait to read the third book to see how all the pieces of Jane and Reid's story are finally going to come together.
Final Rating: 4/5.
Definitely go ahead and pick this one up if you're a fan of Christian suspense novels.
