I hope you're all having a great start to the month, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess.
One of my truly favorite things about being a book blogger is discovering new authors and new books through my blog and the connections I've made through it. I recently had an Indie Christian author reach out to me about reading and reviewing her books, and after I read the synopsis of each, I knew they'd be something right up my alley.
I'm excited to share my review of the book with you all today.

My Review:
Taco Truck Takedown is a quirky, hilarious enemies to more romance that will keep readers everywhere glued to the pages. The synopsis of this one really called out to me, and it ended up being a fun surprise, and a story that I read pretty much in its entirety in one sitting. I was especially impressed by the fact that this one is a prequel novella, and yet the romance was still well developed, and never felt like insta love.
I really enjoyed the unique occupations that I don't often see the main characters have in a romance novel (Hadi is a high school principal and Chris was a taco truck driver/chef), and I loved how this one focuses around Hadi moving back to her hometown for a job opportunity after years of living away. The fact that Hadi and Chris already had a bit of history from high school added another dimension to the story, which I really enjoyed, and I loved the small town emphasis, and how much Hadi is addicted to tacos.
I wasn't really sure what to expect when I first picked this one up, but it truly was an adorable story, and a lovely but snarky clean romance. I loved the chemistry between the main characters, I loved the devotion they both demonstrate to their jobs and their friends and families, and I especially loved how a lot of the story is cutesy and fluffy, but it also touches on some more hard hitting issues like needing to truly let things go, and not just running from your past.
All in all, I'd recommend this one to anyone who enjoys clean, witty romances, and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
