Can you believe Christmas is officially less than two weeks away!
That's honestly a little hard to believe, and I feel like I still have quite a bit to get done before that.
Last week, I ended up taking a couple of days off from my blog to go away on a quick holiday with my hubby, and it was nice getting to spend some time prioritizing each other's company.
Today we also both have the day off work, and I'm hoping to get caught up on my blog, do some Christmas baking, and also get some wrapping checked off my list.
I'm thankful that all my Christmas shopping is officially done, but there's still quite a few other things to check off my to do list.
However, I'm thankful to step away from the craziness for a few moments, and share my review of a wonderful upcoming title with you all.

My Review:
Allie Pleiter is one of my very favorite Love Inspired authors, and after I how much I enjoyed the first title in her True North Springs series, I couldn't wait to read the second.
Set up as a healing retreat for families that have experienced violent tragedies, True North Springs is finally ready to receive its first round of guests, and Kate Hoyle and her two children Kent and Kimmy are one of those families. Kate's not sure what exactly to expect from the experience, but she's hoping this camp can reach her beloved son, who has not been the same since his father was tragically taken away from them. Seb Costa is the camp chef, and while he hasn't experienced the same tragic loss that these families have, he's fighting his own round of demons, and feels an instant connect that he can't explain to Kate and her wonderful children that have experienced hurts that no child ever should have had to. As the two grow closer together, many barriers threaten to break them apart for good, but True North Springs is a place to find healing, and a place to realize that God is close to the weary and broken hearted.
All in all, this was a fantastic follow up story, and I surprised myself by enjoying it even more than I did the wonderful first book. Kate and Seb were both relatable, and instantly likeable, and I was rooting for them both to find their way back to His never ending grace, and towards their own version of happily ever after. I often enjoy Love Inspired titles where kids play a big part in the plot, and Kent and Kimmy were both definitely scene stealers, and I enjoyed watching the camp work its magic on both of their sensitive hearts.
It was a wonderful treat getting another visit back to this beautiful place, and I'm already anxiously awaiting the next book. Allie Pleiter continues to be one of my favorites, and I can't possibly recommend this wonderful story that realistically tackles grief enough.
