I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess.

I'm going to be a bit candid on my blog today, as an intro into today's review, and let you all know that the last few years have been extremely difficult for me.

I don't really feel like going into specifics, but to put it mildly, I've felt for quite a while like my "in the wilderness" season is never going to pass, and sometimes it's really hard to feel motivated to try and make an effort with anything when everything has been as bad as it has.

I'm extremely grateful to Jesus and my hubby for pulling me through the darkest days again and again, and when I happened to stumble upon this Christian living book I'm about to share with you all today, I knew I wanted to give it a try.

My circumstances of suffering were nothing like the author's, but considering she'd been through unimaginable horrors, and managed to come out the other end of it stronger in her faith than ever, I knew it might help me with everything as well.

My Review:

Holding On To Hope was a valuable resource for me as I battled some pretty horrific circumstances, and I loved how the accompanied Bible study helped me to understand that suffering is part of life, and we're never promised differently during life on this broken earth.

Reading through the unimaginable horrors that Nancy and her family had to face was heart wrenching, but I love how she turned her devastations over to her Saviour, and has managed to help so many others going through tough times in the process.

If you or someone you know is going through your "wilderness" season, this book can definitely be a helpful resource, and I'm thankful I took the time to read through it in it's entirety, and I especially enjoyed the Bible study on the Book of Job, as it helped me to look at many scriptures in a new light.

Final Rating: 4/5.

I highly recommend this one, and I'm glad I had the chance to read it.
