It's officially the time of the year for Christmas book reviews, and I'm excited to get to share with you all my review today of a title that had been on my TBR list ever since it's release back in 2019.

My Review:

I've been wanting to read Royally Yours ever since it was first released in 2019, and this Christmas season I finally got around to doing so. This collection sounded wonderful, and since I've enjoyed stories by each of these four authors in the past, it was one that I found myself highly anticipating. If I'm being honest, I'm also usually all about stories where the "famous or royal person falls for the regular person" trope is employed, so this collection definitely had high expectations to fulfill in my eyes.

This collection as a whole ended up being a treat for any fans of sweet romance, as each story was wonderful, idyllic, and original from all the others. I personally ended up enjoying Melissa Tagg's and Ashley Clark's the most, but there were definitely things to love about each one. Heartwarming romances where our protagonists also have to consider how following their hearts could cause problems for the monarchies they've sworn to protect.

The setting itself was idyllic and sounded like the perfect place to spend the Christmas season. Tinsel's mayor was a hoot, and I loved the idea of a community that bans all forms of paparazzi in order to give famous clientele a place to have a true break from the limelight.

All in all, this was a sweet collection that I'd highly recommend for anyone who enjoys sweet romance and/or clean Christmas romances. However, I was a little disappointed that the faith content was highly downplayed as that was definitely not what I was expecting when I chose to pick up a collection from four inspirational authors.

I know that this trend is becoming more and more common within traditional Christian publishing, and I hope this isn't a sign that it's also going to start becoming more common with indie published Christian fiction as well.

Final Rating: 4/5

I didn't care for Betsy St. Amant's story quite as much as I expected to, and the lack of a faith element was disappointing.
