Disney Song Book Tag :)

It's the weekend again guys!

I'm definitely excited about that, but I am not however excited about this horrible humidity we are once again experiencing.

Honestly, I'm kind of over summer, and I'm ready to bring on Fall! Fall is always my favorite season, as what's not to love about blanket scarves, riding boots, and pumpkin flavored everything, but alas, I think I'm going to be waiting awhile for those cooler days to finally come. :(

However, I am extremely excited that our Disney World trip is getting closer and closer, and in honor of that, I'm here to post another book tag that I just recently discovered, The Disney Song Book Tag.

Everyone knows how much fun I had with The Disney Book Tag, (you can find that post here: http://thepreppybookprincess.blogspot.ca/2016/08/the-disney-book-tag.html) and I'm definitely ecstatic to have discovered another Disney themed book tag.

This one was created by Aria's Books on Youtube, and let's go ahead and get started.

1) A Whole New Pick: Pick A Book That Made You See The World Differently:

The Help by Kathryn Stockett. 

The Help really opened my eyes to the horrific racial segregation that existed throughout North America. Reading about the horrific conditions that many African American people were forced to live through really opened my eyes, and I'm glad I got the chance to read this book.


2) Cruella De Vil: Pick Your Favorite Villain:

Without a doubt for this one I'm going with WARNER from Shatter Me. There was just something about him that appealed to me right from the first book, which I know some would say is a bit creepy, and I loved getting to see more and more of his character throughout the rest of the series. 

3) I Won't Say I'm In Love: Pick A Book You Didn't Want To Admit You Loved

For this one I'm actually going with Twilight:

I love love love this book, but I was originally massively turned off on the idea of reading it. This book and I had a love hate relationship, which if you've read my previous posts on the topic, you'll know that it's because my boyfriend at the time thought it was a great idea to download an illegal copy of it on my computer instead of his own, and my laptop ended up spending ten days at a tech center to get fixed. After I got over the bad first impression though, and actually read this book, I really truly fell in love with it, and despite all the negative criticism towards it, it remains one of my favorite books of all time. And I read it by actually purchasing the novel instead of illegally downloading it like he did!


4) Gaston: Pick A Character You Couldn't Stand:

Tom from Battle Angel by Scott Speer:

Ugh I literally couldn't stand how obnoxious Tom was as a character, but I also felt his character was so unnecessary to the story line, and I just found the whole introduction of his character extremely annoying. 


  5) Part Of Your World: Pick A Book Set In A Universe You Wish You Could Live In:

Of Poseidon by Anna Banks:

I've always had a facsination with mermaid culture, and this book is one of my all time favorite mermaid books. I'd love to live in a mermaid setting, and getting to be around Galen all day would not exactly be a hardship either.

6) A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes: Describe What The Book Of Your Dreams Would Be Like:

Lol my response for this one is going to be a little random, but I've lately become hooked on the movie High Strung on Netlix, and according to my hubby, I've watched it way too many times. I would love to see a YA novel along these lines, a talented dancer from a prestigious academy falling in love with a street musician who's in the country illegally. Yes please, I would read that in a heartbeat!

Also, I seem to really enjoy the whole alien falling for a human storyline (hence why I enjoyed watching Roswell and Starcrossed so much, and why I love reading the Lux series by Jennifer L Armentrout and United by Melissa Landers), so I definitely wouldn't mind seeing another book along these lines as well.

7) Someday My Prince Will Come: What Book Character Would You Marry If You Could:

Etienne St. Clair from Anna and The French Kiss without a doubt!

Etienne is my favorite book boyfriend of all time, and there's just something about his and Anna's amazing chemistry that had me swooning throughout the entire book. 

8) I See The Light: Pick A Book That Changed Your Life:

This one I'm going to have to go with The Bible. I'm not sure where I'd be without it in my life, but I can guarantee you that I never want to find out.


9) When You Wish Upon A Star: Pick A Book You Wish You Could Reread For The First Time:

There's so many books I could have chosen for this spot, including Anna and The French Kiss, but I'm going to actually go with Crash Into You by Katie McGarry:

This is one of the most amazing contemporary books I've ever read, and Rachel and Isaiah's relationship was intense and amazing, and I would love the opportunity to go back and read this amazing story again for the first time.


10) I Just Can't Wait To Be King: Pick A Book With Some Kind Of Monarchy In It:

The Selection by Kiera Cass:

For this one, I'm going with one of my all time favorites, The Selection. 


11) Colors Of The Wind: Pick A Book With A Beautiful Colorful Cover:

Lastly, I'm going with a book that I actually haven't read yet, but has been sitting on my bookshelf since Christmas, and I really hope to get to it soon, and that is A Thousand Pieces Of You by Claudia Gray:

Guys the colors in this cover honestly give me chills. It's so gorgeous, and I'm really hoping that the book will live up to the expectations set in place by such a beautiful cover.
