Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Characters I'd name a child/cat/dog/car/ etc After.

I enjoyed Top Ten Tuesday so much last week, that I decided to go ahead and take part again this week.

Today's topic is: Ten Characters I'd Name A Child/Cat/Dog/Car/ etc After, and I think it's going to be a really fun one.

First, Characters I'd Name a Pet after:

1) Katsa from Kristin Cashore's Graceling:

I have to start with Katsa, since it is actually what we named our adorable black and white kitten almost a year ago.

She's grown so much since this picture, but this was taken right after we decided on her name. We tried several different book characters, but Katsa is the one she loved right away, and so is what we ended up going with.

2) Rose from Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy:

Rose was actually the first name we agreed up on to name our kitty, but she didn't seem to like it, and so we ended up with Katsa. However, Rose is still a name I'd use for a kitten in the future.


3) Celaena from Sarah J. Maas' Throne Of Glass:

I have not personally read this series, but it's one of my hubby's favorites. It was his name suggestion for our kitten, but once again, she didn't seem to like it, and we went with Katsa instead.

4) Day from Marie Lu's Legend trilogy:

For some reason, I've just loved this name since I first read that book, and will definitely consider it for a pet name in the future.

5) Cress from Marissa Meyer's Lunar Chronicles:

Cress was one of my favorite characters in that series, and I loved how unique her name was. I could totally see myself naming a pet this in the future.

Characters I'd name my children after:




1) Etienne from Stephanie Perkins' Anna and the French Kiss:

I have a bit of an unhealthy obsession with both this book and this name, if Neil and I ever end up having a son, this would be my number one name pick, but somehow I don't think he's going to end up agreeing to this lol.

2) Maxon from Kiera Cass' The Selection:

I've always loved Maxon's character, and his name. I could totally see myself using this a potential name for a son in the future.





3) Clary from Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments:

This is another name that I've loved right from the start of this series. I think that not only is it an awesome name, but it would be pretty awesome to name my future daughter after a kick butt shadowhunter.

4) Isabel or "Belly" from Jenny Han's The Summer I Turned Pretty:

Probably a bit of a weird choice, but on top of always having loved the name Isabel, I also love how her nickname is Belly. 

5) Hadley from Jennifer E Smith's The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight:

I love both this unique name, and her awesome character in one of my all time favorite books. I would totally use this a child's name someday.
