Series I Finished In 2016 :)

Happy Friday Guys!

I hope you're all having a great week, and looking forward to the weekend.

Sunday is actually my birthday, and I'm so looking forward to honestly doing nothing but curling up with a great book and a delicious cup of tea.

I have so many books on my TBR list for 2017, and I'm definitely looking forward to spending my birthday getting to read some of them.

I've noticed lately that a lot of people are posting about the series they finished in 2016, and I thought it seemed like a really fun topic, and so, that's what I decided to talk about on my blog today.

I actually went into this post thinking there hadn't actually been too many series I did finish last year, and so I ended up honestly being quite surprised with how many books ended up on this list after I finished checking my goodreads.


1) The Lonestar series by Colleen Coble:

A Christian murder mystery series that focuses around modern marriages of convenience, and this was definitely one of my favorite series I read in 2016.

2) The Porter Family series by Becky Wade:

I read this whole series in 2016, and it ended up moving Becky Wade into my favorite author's list. I loved how each book focused on a couple who was dealing with harsh circumstances, and trying their best to not lose sight of their faith along the way. The first book, Undeniably Yours was my favorite of the series, as I really enjoyed the mystery element that was thrown in around the developing romance.

3) The Jamieson Collection by Angie Stanton:

A cute series about three pop star brothers, and the three amazing girls that bring them back down to Earth. This one was really sweet and adorable, and definitely was the perfect summer series.

4) The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes:

This series completely creeped me out, and had to be read while all the lights were on, but it was an amazingly, intense story, and it definitely opened my eyes to a book series I never would have thought to have been my cup of tea.

5) The Lone City by Amy Ewing:

I didn't care for the first book in this series, and then loved the second, and then found the third one to be slightly underwhelming. It was still an okay series overall, but I don't foresee myself rereading it again in the future.

6) The Alaskan Courage series by Dani Pettrey:

This whole series was intense, scary, and had to be read with all the lights on, but I absolutely loved it, and it's definitely made me want to continue reading more of Dani Pettrey's books in the future.

7) The After series by Anna Todd:

I'm not honestly sure what possessed me to pick up this series in the first place, as I was pretty sure it wouldn't be my type of read. And unfortunately, I confirmed this while I was reading each book, and not enjoying it at all. This was probably my least favorite series I read in 2016.

8) The Dear Daphne series by Melody Carlson:

This series was a pleasant surprise, and I found myself never expecting the plot twists that were included in each book.


9) The Carnegie Kincaid series by Deborah Donnelly:

I really enjoyed the first couple of books in this series, and found the mysteries to be well written and quite interesting. However, the rest of the series I didn't find nearly as good as the first two, and I more just ended up reading them just so I could be finished with the series.

10) The Mother Daughter Book Club by Heather Vogel Frederick:

This was the last series I finished in 2016, and was such a sweet and emotional read for me. These characters have come to mean so much to me over the last few years, and I really enjoyed getting to have this one last look into their lives before the series was finished.



And that's it for the series I finished in 2016! I definitely want to step up my YA game in 2017, since I feel I didn't end up reading too much within my favorite genre in 2016.
