Happy Friday Guys!
I hope you've all been having a great week so far, as mine sure hasn't been the best. I've unfortunately been pretty upset over some issues that have blown up in the past few days, and it's definitely been a struggle to get through my normal day to day routines.
I was honestly really needing to read a book that would lift my spirits, and help me through this horrible week, and I'm so happy that I found one that fit the bill.
I knew I had to share all about it with you guys today, and that's what I'm going to go ahead and do.

My Review:
Over the last couple of years, I've really found myself enjoying The Main Clambake Mystery series. I've been a fan of the cozy type of mysteries for quite some time, and this series is fast becoming one of my favorites. However, I was honestly a little hesitant to read this one. All of the previous novels in this series have focused on events surrounding the family's clambake business, and since this one is set in February I knew it wouldn't be about the clambake itself, and so I wasn't sure if I would end up feeling the same way about it or not. All in all though, I shouldn't have been worried as once again Barbara Ross has written a page-turning, heart wrenching mystery with enough family togetherness and heart warming moments to easily make this my favorite in the series so far.
From previous comments made in the earlier novels, the reader has been given the information that Jacqueline Snowden doesn't have many relatives left, and she's never seemed to know too much about her family's history. All of that is about to change however, when a mysterious package arrives at the post office for her, that contains a family heirloom necklace worth millions that's been missing longer than Jacqueline's been alive. Thank goodness amateur sleuth Julia is here to help save the day, and soon a session with the local town historian has her discovering all sorts of things about her mother's family that no one was ever aware of.
Of course. where there's family there's drama, and Julia is about to discover the lengths that various family members will go to claim the inheritance as their own. With her sister due to deliver any day, and Julia's boyfriend Chris out of the picture on a guy's sailing weekend, Julia's left to her own devices to try and resolve the mystery surrounding her mother's family once and for all.
I honestly loved every single page of this well written, fast paced novel, and I can't wait to try some of the delicious sounding recipes that were included at the end of it. I was expecting to not like this one as much as the others, but instead, it ended up becoming my favorite as I loved the true life history that Barbara Ross was able to weave into Jacqueline's family history throughout the story. I had figured out part of the mystery quite a bit before it was wrapped up in the book, but I still ended up being pleasantly surprised with how everything fit together at the end, and it left me quite satisfied that I'd taken the time to sit down and give it a chance.
This series is now tied with Krista Davis' Domestic Diva series as my favorite cozy mystery series, and I'll definitely be recommending these to anyone looking for a new mystery series to dive into.
I gave this particular one four out of five stars, and I definitely look forward with continuing on with more of Barbara Ross' books in the future.
