We're on our way into my favorite season of the entire year, and I'm loving the fall chill in the air, and getting the chance to try many new recipes that fit the season, and curl up with my coziest blanket and some really great reads.

About the Author:

Vanessa Hall is an author, musician, and homeschool graduate.

And now, I'm excited to dive right into my review of the final title in Vanessa's Grace Sufficient series.

My Review:

I always enjoy getting to dive into another book by Vanessa Hall, and I was expecting pretty great things from her final installment in the Grace Sufficient series. Overall, I thought this one ended up being a pretty decent conclusion, and I appreciated the fact, as with every one of her titles, that it got me thinking about a lot of things, and especially, illustrated once again just how important it is to stand for Jesus in a world where it's becoming more difficult to do so by the day.

I think Untold ended up being my favorite of the series, as I found myself able to connect and sympathize with both Molly and Nikolia as characters, and they were without a doubt my favorite couple from the trilogy. Nothing comes easy to them, and I appreciated how it showcased what having "true" faith may look like in the middle of a battle. I thought their reactions to everything were authentic and understandable, and I found myself not wanting to put the book down as I was too intrigued to not know what was going to happen next. I was rooting for them throughout each and every one of the challenges they faced, and I loved getting to watch their faith deepen in the process.

I also can't move on from the characters without discussing how much I adore Gregor. He was my favorite from the entire trilogy, and I loved how he got to play a much bigger part of the story throughout this entire title.

Perhaps my favorite part of reading any book by this author is that she actually writes "Christian" fiction. These aren't merely books where faith is hinted at just to be able to categorize it under that heading. Instead, these are books where faith and Jesus are at the front and center of every decision the characters make, and every desire they have as to what they want to do with their lives. It's a refreshing change, and is something I'd love to see more of in the Christian fiction industry.

I will say that I often struggle with reading books by this author as while I do love the story overall, the suspense bits are extreme and dealing with a lot of dark content, and they often leave me struggling and feeling a bit overwhelmed with the many issues tackled within. I would recommend that if you're like me and tend to take to heart most things you read, then maybe plan to give yourself a bit of time to work through this one, so that you can enjoy everything the wonderful story has to offer, without getting overwhelmed in the process.

Overall, this was a pretty good conclusion to the Grace Sufficient trilogy, and one that I would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys hard hitting Christian suspense. I would personally not recommend reading it without having read the first two books though, as I feel you'd be missing out on a lot of the background info.
