Autumn from the Heart of the Home by Susan Branch Review

I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you chose to stop by The Preppy Book Princess today for another book review.

If I'm being honest, today has been an absolute trainwreck! I got some absolutely horrible news from my job, my husband had a lot of work drama of his own, and we got some devastating personal news this week as well. I'm also trying to type this up while attempting to put a spaghetti dinner on the table for my hubby and I after a long day at work, and if I'm being completely honest, I'm not in the greatest mood.

However, I know that we all have these days, and I'm trying to overcome the ickiness by counting my blessings, spending time with Jesus, and curling up with some really amazing books. 

Which leads me right into today's review.

Previously I had read Christmas from the Heart of the Home by Susan Branch (review here), and I didn't end up loving it as much as I expected to.

I was still wanting to give her autumn book a try though, and I encourage you all to keep on reading to find out what I ended up thinking about it.

My Review:

I had read another one of the titles in Susan Branch's Heart of the Home series before picking this one up, and I hadn't ended up enjoying it quite as much as I expected to. However, since autumn is by far my favorite season of all, I decided to give this one a try anyways.

This was such a welcome treat, and a lovely way to celebrate this beautiful time of year. It's basically an Ode to Fall, with wonderful seasonal themed recipes, crafts, diy's and other ideas to help you make the most of the season.

The artwork is beautiful, the script is gorgeous (although maybe a little hard to read), and it inspired me to want to try quite a few recipes that are definitely out of my comfort zone.

If you're a fellow autumn aficionado, I highly recommend brewing yourself a warm cup of tea, curling up with a cozy blanket, and taking a leisurely flip through this gorgeous read.

Final Rating: 4/5.
