I love getting to share reviews of the many, many titles I read with you all, and today I have another review of a classic novel that I'm excited to share.

My Review:
I grew up absolutely in love with The Anne of Green Gables books and The Road to Avonlea TV show, largely thanks to my maternal grandmother. However, other than my beloved Anne novels, I hadn't read too much else from L.M. Montgomery. When I recently discovered that her two Chronicles of Avonlea novels, and two Story Girl novels were the inspiration for that beloved TV show, I knew I needed to give them all a try. I first read the Story Girl duology, and adored it ever as much as I did the Anne novels. I couldn't wait to give this one a try, and I was hopeful I'd end up loving it just as much.
It was wonderful to be back in Avonlea, and to see many snippets of beloved characters along the way, like Anne and Diana. There stories don't really have much in common other than their location, but each one is a fun and whimsical look into different characters that call this idyllic town home. I wholeheartedly enjoyed each one, and loved getting to dive back (slightly) into the world of Anne, even though she doesn't play too prominent of a role throughout.
L.M. Montgomery's writing always inspires me to lose myself in the whimsical worlds she creates, and take a break from all the stresses of everyday life.
While I did end up feeling like I enjoyed The Story Girl and it's sequel a bit more than this one, I did still love it, and am looking forward to continuing on with the second book shortly.
I'm now desperately wanting to go ahead and rewatch Road to Avonlea after reading more of the stories that inspired it.
