Blogmas Day Seventeen: The Guilty Reader Book Tag

Welcome to the seventeenth day of Blogmas guys!

I know it hasn't been that long since I last posted a book tag, but I stumbled upon the Guilty Reader book tag a couple of days ago, and I was too excited about it to wait to post it until later.

This fun tag was created by IsthatChami on Youtube, and you can check out her original video here.

So let's go ahead and see just how much of a guilty reader I am.

Have you ever regifted a book that you've been given?

Yes! Multiple times actually but not in a bad way. If I end up receiving more than one copy of a book for Christmas or my birthday or such usually instead of returning it I'll pass it along to a friend. So yes I've definitely regifted books before.

Have you ever said you've read a book when you haven't?

I was really thinking on this one, and honestly I don't think I have. I always actually read the books we were supposed to in school or whatnot, and if someone asks me if I've read a book nowadays I'm always truthful when I answer.

Have you ever borrowed a book and not returned it?

I've maybe kept books for longer than I probably should have from my friends,  but I've never kept them. I wouldn't want anyone to keep my books, so I definitely wouldn't want to do this to someone else either.

Have you ever read a series out of order?

Sigh. Yes many times before I discovered goodreads. Now I'm usually really careful to always look up a book before I dive into it just in case it ends up being a later book in a series.

Have you ever spoiled a book for someone?

Unfortunately I definitely have to say yes to this one too. One day I was talking about Vampire Academy thinking that my husband had read the first three books and he'd only read the first two, so I totally spoiled the ending of book three for him. I still feel bad about that one honestly.

Have you ever doggy eared a book?

Definitely Not! This is one of my all time pet peeves.

Have you ever told someone you don't own a book when you do?

I don't think so? Oooo wait no I have. There was a time once when a girl from work asked me if I owned a certain book cause she wanted to borrow it, and I told her I didn't have it because she's the type of person that'll spill coffee all over books and not care, and hold a book with sticky fingers from whatever she's eating, and I really couldn't take that happening to one of my books.

Have you ever told someone you haven't read a book when you have?

Umm no I don't think so. There's definitely been some books I haven't been too proud of myself for reading, but I never lied about doing so. I just didn't have much to say if anyone asked me about them.

Have you ever skipped a chapter or a section of a book?

I haven't done this too too often, but I know sometimes before I have skipped certain scenes in some books.

Have you ever bad mouthed a book you actually liked?

No I'm pretty sure I've never done this. I don't really ever feel the need to conceal my enjoyment of a book, despite the weird looks I sometimes get from people when I tell them my favorite genres are YA and Inspirational Fiction.

Lol so I'm going to say I'm not terribly guilty, but I've definitely had my moments :)

I tag any of you guys that's interested in doing this great tag, and please let me know if you do!

Thanks so much for reading guys! I hope you all have a great rest of your day, and I'll see you all tomorrow for Blogmas day 18!

Della and Darby by Susannah B. Lewis Review

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to stop by my little corner of the internet. My husband and I actually have this week off of work for a much needed holiday, and I'm excited for the many fun things we have planned. Aside from the fun things, I'm honestly thankful to have some extra time to get my house back in shape, and to get more organized for Christmas. I also hope to have lots of time to curl up with some great reads, and I recently had a chance to read one of my most anticipated 2023 releases! Earlier in the year, I read my first novel by Susannah B. Lewis, and I couldn't have loved it more. It was definitely one of my favorite reads of this entire year, and I've been looking forward to reading her next release ever since. If you'd like to check out that review, you can do so using the link below: Bless Your Heart Rae Sutton Otherwise, keep on reading down below for today's full review. De...

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...
