It seems in this insanely dark world that sometimes making a difference is daunting. My prayer for my blog is that it would bring happiness and joy to even one person reading it, and showcase that there are still clean and faith based reads out there to enjoy. Even when it sometimes seems impossible to find them with the content being included in the media nowadays.
Today I've got a review for you all of a recently released Christian suspense title that literally had me on the edge of my seat for the entire story. This particular book is book three in the series and you can find my reviews of the first two books in the series below:

My Review:
I was glued to the pages of the first two books in Lynette Eason's Danger Never Sleeps series, and I couldn't wait to finally read this one. Excellent writing, plot twists and turns, and non stop action had me barely able to put this one down once I finally got the chance to read it, and it's a great choice for anyone looking for a new Christian suspense release.
We'd been briefly introduced to Heather in the previous books in the series, and as a former field surgeon in Afghanistan, she's been through a lot in the last few years. However, after returning from active duty, she finds herself in the midst of a dastardly plot that includes someone stalking her, and seemingly threatening everything she cares about. As someone who has never been good at letting others in, Heather struggles to admit to her close friends that she needs help, but they're not taking no for an answer, especially Travis Walker. As the two work together to unravel a plot so twisted no one could possibly be prepared for it, they'll soon discover that their feelings go much deeper than friendship.
Active Defense is a page turner from start to finish, and definitely had me reeling as I tried to piece the whole puzzle together. I love how Lynette Eason's books are always perfectly paced, and they never drag or feel like anything is included that's unnecessary to the story. I also loved the addition of Ryker as a character, and how his circumstances force Heather to come to terms with her own situation of childhood abuse and growing up in the foster care system. I also loved the focus on family, friendship and especially faith.
Lynette Eason has written another nail biting suspense story that will thrill readers everywhere, and leave them on the edge of their seats waiting for book four! I definitely recommend this one to anyone who is a fan of Christian suspense.
