I am so excited about the book I'm going to talk about with you all today.

I've been a fan of Ally Carter for quite sometime. Her books are always amazing, but also relatively clean, and I've wanted to read her new middle grade series ever since it was first announced.

However, I was also a little leery as I've had some bad experiences with newer secular published titles content wise, and I was really hoping that wasn't going to be the case with this one.

Spoiler alert, I loved this one so much, and I can't wait to tell you guys all about it.

My Review:

I'm a longtime fan of Ally Carter's young adult novels, and I've been looking forward to reading this one ever since it was first announced. The synopsis sounded amazing, and I love reading these type of mystery novels, especially within the middle grade genre. This one ended up being even more than I was expecting, and I could barely bring myself to put it down.

Winterborne Home for Vengeance and Valor is the perfect example of exactly what middle grade should be. It wasn't about romance; it was about a group of friends who've been thrown together unexpectedly, who are determined to work together to solve the mystery that has literally been dumped into their lap.

The friendship was lovely and eccentric, there was a sinister feeling over the whole story that caused you to doubt who you could actually trust, the mystery was well developed and kept me guessing, and the Winterborne Home setting was fantastic. 

I would have absolutely gobbled this one up during my tween years, and as an adult I still completely loved it, and can't wait to get my hands on the second.

Ally Carter is a fantastic storyteller, and I appreciated the fact that she told a lovable, believable mystery cast with realistic, well developed characters, and still managed to keep the story pretty squeaky clean.

With a quirky cast of characters, a well crafted mystery, a spooky setting, and a witty writing style, Winterborne Home for Vengeance and Valor is a fantastic middle grade, and showcases once again just how talented Ally Carter is as an author. 

Final Rating: 5/5.

This one gets the highest recommendation from me, and I couldn't have enjoyed it more.
