My Review:
I've been a lifelong fan of Amish fiction, and Suzanne Woods Fisher has become one of my all time favorites within this genre. I've been working my way through her Stoney Ridge Seasons series, and I loved both the first and second titles in the series. However, I was really looking forward to getting to read M.K.'s story, as she'd been such a pistol in the first stories, and I couldn't wait to see what the reader was in store for.
I have to say that I appreciated that her character has definitely shown growth, but that her spitfire spirit is firmly still a part of her. She more learns how to use that spirit for good, rather than it constantly being the source of what gets her into trouble. This particular title was also a little bit different than the previous books, as there's more of a mystery element that ends up tying into both M.K. and her new friend Chris Yoder's past, and I personally thought that element was really well done.
I've come to expect great things when I pick up a book from this author, and I wholeheartedly loved this one. It ended up being my favorite from the series, and it wrapped up everything nicely.
I'd love to get a chance to revisit these characters in the future, as there were definitely still a few questions I had when everything finally did wrap up.
Definitely another new favorite from this author, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys Amish fiction.
