The Nurse's Homecoming by Allie Pleiter Review

 Happy Monday Friends :)

I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you chose to stop by The Preppy Book Princess today for another book review.

Did you all have a great weekend? Mine was pretty productive, as I was able to get quite a few projects finished around the house, and those type of weekends are always my favorite.

I also had the chance to read a couple of great books over the past week, and one of those books I'm here to share a review of with you all today.

Allie Pleiter has become one of my all time favorite Love Inspired authors, and her current series is probably my favorite of hers to date.

If you'd like to check out my reviews of the first two titles in this series, you can do so using the links below:

But no one warned Bridget that she’d be working with her ex-boyfriend, Carson Todd…or that another shot at love might be exactly what she needs.

My Review:

I adored Allie Pleiter's Wander Canyon series for Love Inspired, but I have to be honest that True North Springs is quickly replacing it as my new favorite by her. The stories are heartwarming and endearing, the characters are realistic and dealing with grief and personal struggles, and the community small town setting truly comes to life on the page for the reader.

Camp True North Springs has been a place of healing for many families already, but they are about the welcome an entirely new set of campers. Bridget Nicholson has recently returned to her hometown after a broken engagement, and has taken a temporary position as the camp's nurse. She's not expecting it to feel like  home, or to run into the man who broke her heart many years prior, Carson Todd. Carson is currently serving as the camp's fix it man, and neither can deny that feelings are starting to re-emerge the more time they spend together. However, many obstacles stand in their way to happily ever after, and they'll both come to realize that God's plan is seldom ever the one we might have chosen for ourselves.

As readers are welcomed back to a place for healing and wholeness, they will quickly fall head over heels for this wonderful story that was so much more than I was originally expecting. Secrets, struggles, and a second chance at love round out the original plot that keeps the reader engaged throughout, and I have to say that this story ended up going in a direction I never saw coming.

The Nurse's Homecoming is truly Allie Pleiter at her best, and I can't possibly recommend it enough. This entire series has been a favorite right from the start, but I think this ended up being my favorite title so far. I can't wait to see how she's going to wrap this series up with the next release of book four!

Final Rating: 5/5.

Thanks so much to Allie Pleiter for allowing me to advance read and review this as part of her ARC team!

I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary advance reader copy of this novel from the author as part of her ARC team. I was not required to give a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own, and this is my honest review.

Thanks so much for reading guys! Have a great rest of your day :)

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to stop by my little corner of the internet. My husband and I actually have this week off of work for a much needed holiday, and I'm excited for the many fun things we have planned. Aside from the fun things, I'm honestly thankful to have some extra time to get my house back in shape, and to get more organized for Christmas. I also hope to have lots of time to curl up with some great reads, and I recently had a chance to read one of my most anticipated 2023 releases! Earlier in the year, I read my first novel by Susannah B. Lewis, and I couldn't have loved it more. It was definitely one of my favorite reads of this entire year, and I've been looking forward to reading her next release ever since. First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...
