My Review:

When I Meet You is the third installment in Olivia Newport's genealogy based mystery series, Tree of Life. In this particular installment, Jillian and her father Nolan are asked to assist a museum in figuring out what to do about a steamer trunk that's been abandoned for over a century. What starts out as a challenge to try and figure out, ends up leading to a search for answers as to just who owned the trunk, and what would have caused her to abandon something like this that was chocked full of personal effects.

As someone who loves well done dual timeline novels, this series for the most part has been a pleasant surprise. I wasn't sold on it after finding the first story kind of hit or miss, but the following two I've enjoyed immensely. I like how the mysteries keep me guessing, and I enjoy how Jillian and Nolan are always able to connect the past to the present, as honestly, those are always my favorite kind of mysteries.

I enjoy how original the plot is within each of these titles, and all of the focus around genealogy based information makes my heart happy each and every time.

This one was especially a fun treat as I enjoyed the characters in the past just as much as I did in the present, I loved Nolan's food experimentations while preparing to cook for a huge crowd at an upcoming event, and I especially appreciated how the reader sees Jillian coming more into her own, and growing a lot as a character in the process.

I'd still personally say that book two is my favorite in the series so far, but this one was definitely a worthy follow up.

Final Rating: 4/5.

I'd definitely recommend this one, and I appreciate the fact that the author wrote each of these titles in a way so far that enables them to be read as stand alones.

Thanks so much for reading guys! Have a great rest of your day :)
