Secrets of their Past by Allie Pleiter Review

 Hello Friends :)

I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess.

2022 seems to be the year where so many beloved series are coming to a conclusion, and I'm honestly still feeling a little emotional about that fact that Allie Pleiter's Wander Canyon series is one of them.

This series continues to be one of my favorite Love Inspired series of all time, and I'm so sad to see it come to an end.

However, the fifth and final book was everything I was hoping for and more, and today I can't wait to share with you all what I ended up thinking about it.

If you're interested in reading my reviews of the previous books in the series, check out the links below:

My Review:

I have read and loved every single title in Allie Pleiter's Wander Canyon series, and reading the fifth and final book was really bittersweet for me. I loved this heartwarming story about a couple needing to come to terms with their past before they can move on in the present, but I'm honestly so sad to see this series come to an end. It's become a favorite of mine right from the first installment, and while I'm definitely sad to see it go, this final title sends the series off on the perfect end note, and I can't possibly recommend it enough.

Secrets of their Past had so many of my favorite elements all wrapped up into one lovely and captivating read. We have a couple who meet under strange circumstances. We have a romance that first starts out as a beautiful friendship. We have a mystery that ends up leading into places that I never personally saw coming. We have a more in depth look into one of Wander Canyon's least liked citizens. We have plenty of cameos from the characters in the previous books, and perhaps best of all, we have a story that heavily focuses around a momma cat and her adorable kittens, and the part they play in bringing the lead couple (Neal and Tessa) together.

Allie Pleiter is an extremely talented storyteller, and this beautiful new romance from her is truly her at her best. I could barely bring myself to put it down, and I loved that she included a little hint about her upcoming series in this one, as it's definitely giving me something more to look forward to. I appreciate how effortlessly the faith element is always blended into her Love Inspired stories, and Secrets of their Past was no exception.

I can't say enough good things about this one, and I recommend picking up the entire Wander Canyon series as I can guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Final Rating: 5/5.

Thanks so much to Allie Pleiter for allowing me to advance read and review this one!

I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary advance reader copy of this novel from the author in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own. I was not required to give a positive review.

Thanks so much for reading guys! Have a great rest of your day :)

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to stop by my little corner of the internet. My husband and I actually have this week off of work for a much needed holiday, and I'm excited for the many fun things we have planned. Aside from the fun things, I'm honestly thankful to have some extra time to get my house back in shape, and to get more organized for Christmas. I also hope to have lots of time to curl up with some great reads, and I recently had a chance to read one of my most anticipated 2023 releases! Earlier in the year, I read my first novel by Susannah B. Lewis, and I couldn't have loved it more. It was definitely one of my favorite reads of this entire year, and I've been looking forward to reading her next release ever since. First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...
