Winning Back Her Heart by Allie Pleiter Review

Hello Friends :)

I hope you're all doing well, and that you are continuing to stay safe and healthy during these trying times.

I've been especially thankful for all the Christian fiction I've had the chance to read during my time at home, as the messages in these beautiful stories have definitely provided a much needed boost to my spirit.

For a good many years, I've loved reading Love Inspired stories, and Allie Pleiter has become one of my all time favorites of the Love Inspired authors. I reviewed her first book in the Wander Canyon series here, and ever since I couldn't wait to read more about the lovely residents of this idyllic small town.

I got the opportunity to read the upcoming next installment in the series a couple of weeks back, and today I can't wait to share with all of you all about it.

My Review:

Ever since finishing Their Wander Canyon Wish, I've been waiting anxiously for more stories about the residents of Wander Canyon. Allie Pleiter has a beautiful way with words that truly makes her stories come alive for her readers. I couldn't wait to dive into Bo and Toni's story. I'm personally a big fan of books that feature second chance romances, and I was looking forward to seeing the unique approach that I knew this author would bring to one of my all time favorite tropes.

Bo and Toni had a head over heels type of romance when they were both young, and Toni broke Bo's heart when she chose to leave Wander Canyon for the Big Apple. Bo responded by acting in ways he knew would hurt Toni, and they've had little contact since. When Toni moves back to Wander Canyon, she ends up needing to hire Bo's construction company to do a massive overhaul of her family's beloved store. Neither one can deny the feelings that are still there simmering below the surface, but how can they ever move past the hurt and the guilt associated with their romance from the first time?

Allie Pleiter has written a heartwarming story that will touch the hearts of readers everywhere. Like all of her previous titles, the faith element plays a huge part of the story in this one, and Toni and Bo both learn a valuable lesson that through Him nothing is ever impossible. I loved the focus on the importance of family and friends, and getting a glimpse into the lives of characters introduced in previous books by the author. I also have to mention how impressed I was with the maturity shown by both Bo and Toni when they try and make amends over their failed relationship some years later.

In the uncertain times that are currently ravaging around us, I can't even begin to express how thankful I am for books like this one with a strong faith message, that provide much needed encouragement throughout the craziness. Allie Pleiter is an author I've come to expect great things from, and she has yet to ever disappoint me. Definitely go ahead and pick this one up if you're looking for a lovely, heartwarming read that will have you truly wrapped up in the characters and their beautiful story.

I will be waiting anxiously for the next title to release in this series, and I can't wait to find out what Allie has in store for Mister Jake.

Final Rating: 4/5

Thanks so much to Allie Pleiter for allowing me to advance read this as part of her street team!

I received a complimentary advance copy of this novel to voluntarily read and review from the author as part of her street team. I was not required to give a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
