A Refuge in Montana by Allie Pleiter Review

Happy Monday My Sweet Bookish Friends :)

It's been awhile, how have you all been doing?

Originally, I had hoped to be back doing at least semi regular book reviews by now, and since I had an author offer me an ARC copy right around when I wanted to start trying again, I figured I'd give it a go.

Unfortunately, I've been dealing with some health complications post partum (which I really don't want to go into at the moment), and my energy is just not where it needs to be at this point.

I'm excited to get to share this review with you all as I did enjoy the title and would love to tell you more about it, but this will be my only review for awhile, at least until we can get everything figured out with my health.

With that being said, let's dive right into today's review, but first if you'd like to check out my reviews of the previous titles in the series, you can do so using the links below:

My Review:

Allie Pleiter is one of my favorite Love Inspired authors, and A Refuge in Montana takes readers back to Three Sisters Rescue Farm where widowed veterinarian Vicky Siden is about to have an unwelcome blast from the past show up in her life.

A lovely story about forgiveness, healing, and the never ending power of redemption, this was one of those stories that tugs at your heartstrings from the very beginning, and I had a hard time wanting to put it down. Vicky was a character that was introduced in the previous stories, and I had a feeling I would end up loving when she got her own story. When Nick reappears in Vicky's life, she's not sure how to deal with all the bitter memories he stirs up in his wake. As he starts to be a constant presence around the rescue farm with a donkey and a horse that her son Taylor is completely smitten with, she can't deny that her feelings are changing in ways she never could have seen coming. As the two learn to trust their healing to the One who holds all the answers, readers are treated to a wonderful, heartwarming romance that highlights that all things are possible when we trust our Heavenly Father.

Once again, Allie Pleiter has delivered a beautiful, faith filled romance that doesn't sugar coat the hard things, and illustrates that the path to healing is rarely ever symmetrical. Vicky's story was everything I was hoping for, and it was a special treat to get to revisit characters from the previous stories once again.

If you enjoy heartwarming Christian romances, then I'd definitely recommend picking up this lovely title. You won't be disappointed.

Final Rating: 4/5.

Thanks so much to Allie Pleiter for allowing me to advance read and review this title!

I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary advance reader copy of this novel from the author as part of her street team Allie's Allies. I was not required to give a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own, and this is my honest review.

Thanks so much for reading guys! Have a great rest of your day :)

Della and Darby by Susannah B. Lewis Review

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to stop by my little corner of the internet. My husband and I actually have this week off of work for a much needed holiday, and I'm excited for the many fun things we have planned. Aside from the fun things, I'm honestly thankful to have some extra time to get my house back in shape, and to get more organized for Christmas. I also hope to have lots of time to curl up with some great reads, and I recently had a chance to read one of my most anticipated 2023 releases! Earlier in the year, I read my first novel by Susannah B. Lewis, and I couldn't have loved it more. It was definitely one of my favorite reads of this entire year, and I've been looking forward to reading her next release ever since. If you'd like to check out that review, you can do so using the link below: Bless Your Heart Rae Sutton Otherwise, keep on reading down below for today's full review. De...

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...

Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Characters I'd name a child/cat/dog/car/ etc After.

Happy Tuesday guys! I enjoyed Top Ten Tuesday so much last week, that I decided to go ahead and take part again this week. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and The Bookish, and here's the link to the main page if you're interested in becoming a part of it: http://www.brokeandbookish.com/p/top-ten-tuesday-other-features.html Today's topic is: Ten Characters I'd Name A Child/Cat/Dog/Car/ etc After, and I think it's going to be a really fun one. First, Characters I'd Name a Pet after: 1) Katsa from Kristin Cashore's Graceling: I have to start with Katsa, since it is actually what we named our adorable black and white kitten almost a year ago. She's grown so much since this picture, but this was taken right after we decided on her name. We tried several different book characters, but Katsa is the one she loved right away, and so is what we ended up going with. 2) Rose from Richelle Mead's Vampire Academ...
