First Line Friday: The Number of Love

Happy Friday Friends :) I hope you're doing well wherever you're reading from today, and I hope that you're all staying safe and healthy. Have you been experiencing any spring temperatures in your area yet? We finally had some nicer weather this week, which was a definite lovely change from the snow we'd been constantly experiencing for the weeks prior. However, it's supposed to be cold and rainy here through the next few days, so we might end up with more snow yet. For today's First Line Friday, which is hosted by the lovely ladies over at Hoarding Books, I'm going to share the first line from a book I'm hoping to have time to read while I'm still off work and social distancing at home. The Number of Love by Roseanna M. White: About the Book: Three years into the Great War, England’s greatest asset is their intelligence network—field agents risking their lives to gather information, and codebreakers able to crack every German tele...

The Story Peddler by Lindsay A Franklin Review

Hello Everyone :) I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. With how many days I ended up having to take off work to rest thanks to my injuries from a bad fall I took, it's probably not surprising that I finished quite a few books more than I'd originally planned on. I ended up reading quite a few amazing books that definitely made my somewhat boring days of resting and healing that much more bearable. One such book was The Story Peddler by Lindsay A Franklin, and I knew as soon as I finished reading it that I needed to post a review of it in order to share about this amazing story with you all. The Story Peddler by Lindsay A Franklin: Source: Library Publisher: Enclave Publication Date: May 1st, 2018 Genre: Young Adult Fiction Series: The Weaver Trilogy Synopsis: Selling stories is a deadly business Tanwen doesn’t just tell stories—she weaves them into cry...

Just Between You and Me by Jenny B Jones Review

Good Morning Bookish Friends :) I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me here for another book review today on The Preppy Book Princess. In the last few weeks, I've talked about Jenny B Jones' There You'll Find Me a lot. It's without a doubt, my favorite read of the year so far, and I'm already rereading it. You can check out that review here. So with how much I'd loved and devoured the first book I'd read by her, I was really looking forward to diving into another one of her stories. I finished my second Jenny B Jones book last week, and today I'm here to share with you all what I thought about it. Keep reading if you're interested in seeing whether or not I thought it compared to There You'll Find Me. Just Between You and Me by Jenny B Jones: Source: Christmas Gift Publisher: Thomas Nelson Publication Date: August 31st, 2009 Genre: Christian Fiction/Christian Romance Synopsis: ...

The Theory of Happily Ever After by Kristin Billerbeck Review

Hello Bookish Friends :) Thank you for joining me for another review here on The Preppy Book Princess. As spring temps emerge, I've really been in the mood to read more lighthearted chick lit type of reads, especially if those reads are about a vacation. That's the primary reason I chose to pick up the book I'm going to be talking about with you all today, and of course the fact that I'd heard some pretty amazing things about it from other book bloggers. The Theory of Happily Ever After by Kristin Billerbeck: Source: Library Publisher: Revell Publication Date: May 1st, 2018 Genre: Christian Fiction/Chick Lit Synopsis: According to Dr. Maggie Maguire, happiness is serious science, as serious as Maggie takes herself. But science can't always account for life's anomalies--for instance, why her fiancé dumped her for a silk-scarf acrobat and how the breakup sent Maggie spiraling into an extended ice cream-fueled chick flick binge. Concern...

February 2019 TBR

Hello Everyone :) I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you for joining me here today on The Preppy Book Princess. Since we're already into February, I thought today would be the perfect day to share with you all what books I plan on reading during this month. To Best The Boys by Mary Weber: I originally had this one on my November TBR I believe it was, but I decided to wait and read it closer to the release date instead. It's my first experience with a Mary Weber book, but I'm really enjoying it, even if it is vastly different from what I was expecting. The Printed Letter Bookshop by Katherine Reay: I adore everything there is to adore about Katherine Reay's novels, and words cannot describe how excited I am to get to advance read her May 2019 release. Katherine's writing has no parallels, she's just that good, and the fact that this is about a bookstore only excites me more.  Where Two Hearts Meet by Liz Johnson: ...

You can read all about my September reads in my wrap up post.  I have high hopes for October being a fantastic reading month as well, and today I'm going to share with you all the books I hope to get to this month. The To All The Boys I've Loved Before trilogy by Jenny Han: These are my friend's and my book club picks for October, and I'm very much looking forward to rereading the first two, and finally reading the third book. The Queen of Zombie Hearts and A Mad Zombie Party by Gena Showalter: I hope to finish this series this month, and am looking forward to doing so. You're The One That I Want by Susan May Warren: Also looking forward to finishing the Christiansen family series this month. Ash and Quill by Rachel Caine: I'm not lo...
