The Hadley Academy for the Improbably Gifted by Conor Grennan Review

Hello Everyone :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. Back in my early days of book blogging, I was all about young adult dystopians. I read so many of them over the years, and while some of them I still consider favorites, I've also had experiences with quite a few of them that weren't great, and honestly, a lot of them started to mesh together after reading so many. However, I recently stumbled upon one that sounded amazing, and that was actually published by a Christian publisher which I was hoping would mean it would be a clean read. Keep reading below to find out if this one ended up living up to my expectations. Return to Maren by Katherine Barger Review

Happy Friday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to stop by The Preppy Book Princess today. I'm Kirby, and I'm excited you're here. Do you have any exciting plans for the weekend? I'm going to be working today and Saturday, but I'm hoping to have some time to get some house projects done on Sunday. As well, I'd like to curl up with some more great reads. And speaking of great reads, I'm excited to get to share today's review with you all. Two years ago, I had the pleasure of reading and reviewing the first title in Katherine Barger's Exiled trilogy, and it became a book that ended up meaning so much to me. I loved the second one just as much, and I've been waiting for the third book to release ever since. If you'd like to check out my reviews of either of the first two books, you can do so using the links below: Fortune's Fall The Exiles Otherwise, keep on reading down below as I can'

Refuge from the Storm by Kristina Hall Review

Happy Friday Everyone :) I pray you've all had a great week, and that you're all looking forward to the weekend. I'm Kirby, and I'm so thankful you decided to drop by The Preppy Book Princess for another book review. I love getting the opportunity to support Indie authors. I've discovered so many amazing stories doing so, and made some really great friends in the process. Last year, Kristina Hall had contacted me about reading and reviewing her newest title, and I've been happily enjoying her books ever since. Her new series is kind of a Christian dystopian type, and I had definitely enjoyed the first title in the series. You can check out that review using the link below: Fled for Refuge After the crazy way the first book ends, I couldn't wait to dive right into book two. Today I'm looking forward to sharing with you all what I ended up thinking about it.  Keep reading below for my full review. Refuge from the Storm by Kristina Hall: Source: Complimen

Fled for Refuge by Kristina Hall Review

Happy Wednesday Everyone :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. Has spring started to make its way into your area? Where I live it's still freezing outside, and we've had quite a bit of snow over the last few days. I've also had quite a rough couple of weeks, as a lot has been going on, and honestly, curling up with great books under a warm and comfy blanket has become my go to way of destressing after a long day. In the past year, I've read and loved several of Kristina Hall's books, and I was really looking forward to diving into her newest release. She's a phenomenal Christian historical fiction author, and I couldn't wait to see how she'd tackle a different genre. Keep reading below to find out what I ended up thinking. The Exiles by Katherine Barger Review

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray you all had a great weekend, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I've been thinking a lot lately about just how much my blog has changed from what it was when I first started it back in September of 2015. Back then, I was much less fussy about the types of content I allowed myself to read, and I pretty much started this blog to share my love of young adult fiction with the world. Unfortunately, as I grew more strict about the type of medias I allowed myself to enjoy, I started finding less and less books within this genre that were actually appropriate. The content in so many of them is downright atrocious, and I have to admit that I literally cringe over some of the books I used to consider favorites way back in the day. It used to really sadden me that there weren't a lot of options for voracious readers of young adult within the Christian fiction genre, and I'm so happy to s

Salt and Stone by Victoria Scott Review With Spoilers

Good Morning Everyone :)  I hope you're all having a great week, and that you're looking forward to the weekend. It's freezing where I live, and temperatures are supposed to be in the minus forties Celsius with wind chills all weekend, so I will most likely be spending my weekend in front of the fireplace with a cup of tea and a book. Today as we go into the weekend, I'd like to share a review with all of you of a book I ended up finding very disappointing. The synopsis for Fire and Flood had me very much looking forward to reading it, but after finishing it, I wasn't really wowed. However, I was curious enough about the story line to continue on with the second book, but it ended up being nothing like what I was hoping for. Here's my review.  Salt and Stone by Victoria Scott: Source: Library Publisher: Scholastic Press Publication Date: February 24th, 2015 Genre: Dystopian/Young Adult Synopsis: How far would you go to survive?
