First Line Friday: A Sweethaven Romance

Happy Friday Friends :) I hope you're all enjoying the last little bit of summer. Are you sad to see summer come to an end, or are you looking forward to fall? I personally love fall and it's my all time favorite season. However, I always find the changing of the seasons a tad bittersweet, although I'm very much looking forward to all the wonderful things fall brings with it. For today's post, I'm excited to be linking up again with Hoarding Books for another edition of First Line Friday. First Line Friday is a fun, weekly blog meme that simply consists of sharing the first line from the book you're currently reading. For the last little while, I've been trying to focus on reading the many books I've added to my kindle over the last couple of years that I'd never got around to reading, and I've discovered many amazing books in the process. Today's first line comes from the book I most recently started reading on my kindle. A Sweethaven Rom...

First Line Friday: A Dazzle of Diamonds

Happy Friday Friends :) I hope you've all had a great week, and I want to thank you all for joining me today on The Preppy Book Princess. Since it is Friday, I'm once again linking up with Hoarding Books for another edition of First Line Friday. This fun, weekly blog meme simply consists of sharing the first line of the book you're currently reading, and today I'm sharing a recent release that I really ended up enjoying. A Dazzle of Diamonds by Liz Johnson: About the Book: Best friends Penelope and Tucker have faced their share of challenges. But finding a lost treasure in time to clear his family's name and win him an election may uncover something they never expected. My Thoughts: This ended up being my favorite of the Georgia Coast Romance books, and I loved that it included two of my all time favorite romance tropes: fake dating and friends to something more. I also love how it's told partly in epistolary style and also includes a time slip element throug...

First Line Friday: Love and a Little White Lie

Happy Friday Friends :) I hope you all had a great week, and that you're all looking forward to the weekend. I don't have too much planned for this weekend, but I'm hoping to get more work done on our home library, and have time to curl up with a couple of the books on my tbr list for this month. Since it is Friday, I'm once again excited to be linking up with Hoarding Books for another edition of First Line Friday. First Line Friday is a fun weekly blog meme that simply consists of sharing the first line of the book you're currently reading. On Tuesday Tammy L Gray's newest book was released into the world, and I adored it. It's definitely one of the best reads I've read this entire year, and I absolutely adore the opening lines. Love and a Little White Lie by Tammy L Gray: Synopsis: After hitting rock bottom, January decides she has nothing to lose in working at her aunt's church--while hiding a lack of faith. A minor deception until she meets the...

First Line Friday: An Appalachian Summer

Happy Friday Friends :) I'm honestly kind of surprised that it's already the end of July. I feel compared to the last few months that this one ended up going by extremely fast. However, that may partly be due to the fact that I read so many amazing reads during this month, and also may be due to the fact that I was able to go to the lake with my family for a few days a little while back. Today, I'm once again excited to be linking up with Hoarding Books for another edition of First Line Friday. For many years, Ann H Gabhart is an author that I've been wanting to try, but had never gotten around to doing so. When I got the opportunity to be a part of the Revell Reads Blog Tour for her newest book, I couldn't wait to see what I've been missing out on all these years.  After finishing it a few days ago, I knew I wanted to feature it for this week's First Line Friday. An Appalachian Summer by Ann H. Gabhart: About the Book: I n 1933, most people are focused on ...

Noah Harding lives a simple life as a firefighter and rancher until Camille cras...

First Line Friday: Dancing With Fireflies

Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you've all had a great week, and that you're all looking forward to the weekend. For today's post, I'm once again excited to be linking up with Hoarding Books for another edition of First Line Friday. First Line Friday simply consists of sharing the first line from the book you're currently reading.  During all these days of social distancing, I've been reading through a lot of the books that had been sitting on my bookshelves for far too long. One of these books ended up being the first title in Denise Hunter's Chapel Springs series, and since I enjoyed it so much, I ended up going ahead and purchasing the second book in the series. My first line today comes from the second book, which I recently finished. Dancing With Fireflies by Denise Hunter: About the Book: Jade returns home to Chapel Springs after years of protecting her fragile heart. Then along comes Daniel, making her long to dance again. Creative and complicated, J...

First Line Friday: The Solid Grounds Coffee Company

Happy Friday Everyone :) Do you have any fun plans this weekend? I'm hoping to spend some more time working in my garden, and also hopefully be able to spend some time reading outside. The last few days we've been having some pretty crazy weather with insane amounts of rain and high winds, but it's supposed to be nice this weekend hopefully. For today's post, I'm excited to once again be linking up with Hoarding Books for another edition of First Line Friday. First Line Friday is a weekly blog meme that simply consists of sharing the first line from the book you're currently reading. My husband and I are planning to continue working on the remodel of our home library, and I'm very excited to get it closer to being done. For today's post, I'm excited to once again be linking up with Hoarding Books for another edition of First Line Friday. For anyone unfamiliar, First Line Friday is a fun, weekly meme that simply consists of sharing the first line from the book you're currently reading. Smitten by Colleen Coble, Kristin Billerbeck, Denise Hunter and Diann Hunt: About the Book: Welcome to Smitten, Vermont. First Line Friday: All's Fair in Love and Cupcakes

Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you've all had a great week, and that you're looking forward to the weekend. Today I'm excited to once again be linking up with Hoarding Books for First Line Friday. First Line Friday is one of my favorite weekly memes, and it simply consists of sharing the first line of the book you're currently reading. I've had a lot of extra reading time on my hands lately because of all the social distancing, and as such, I've been able to read a lot of the titles that have been sitting on my shelves for quite some time. Today's book is one of such titles, and I'm happy that I finally found the time to get to it as I'm really enjoying it so far. All's Fair in Love and Cupcakes by Betsy St. Amant: About the Book: Kat inspected rows of the same old cupcakes. They seemed to blink back at her, as if they knew she was capable of so much more. Kat Varland has had enough of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. At twenty-six years old...

I specifically chose this one as I love the cover, and May is suggested to feature a book cover that makes you happy or is your favorite color.  Hadley Beckett's Next Dish by Bethany Turner: About The Book: Celebrity chef Maxwell Cavanaugh is known for many things: his multiple Michelin stars, his top-rated Culinary Channel show  To the Max , and most of all his horrible temper. First Line Friday: The Traitor's Pawn

Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you're all staying safe and healthy wherever you're reading from today. Our province has begun lifting some of the restrictions this week, and it's making me very nervous. We've already had quite a few issues with people not following the proper social distancing guidelines, and it's a tad on the scary side in my opinion. I'm still choosing to mainly stay at home unless I need to pick up necessities, and will probably keep doing so for at least the next little while. Today I'm once again excited to be linking up with Hoarding Book s for First Line Friday. First Line Friday basically just consists of sharing the first line of the book you're currently reading, and it's a great way to find more amazing books to add to your probably already never ending tbr pile. Happy Friday Friends :) I hope you're doing well wherever you're reading from today, and I hope that you're all staying safe and healthy. Have you been experiencing any spring temperatures in your area yet? We finally had some nicer weather this week, which was a definite lovely change from the snow we'd been constantly experiencing for the weeks prior. However, it's supposed to be cold and rainy here through the next few days, so we might end up with more snow yet. For today's First Line Friday, which is hosted by the lovely ladies over at Hoarding Books, I'm going to share the first line from a book I'm hoping to have time to read while I'm still off work and social distancing at home. The Number of Love by Roseanna M.
