First Line Friday: A Dazzle of Diamonds

 Happy Friday Friends :)

I hope you've all had a great week, and I want to thank you all for joining me today on The Preppy Book Princess.

Since it is Friday, I'm once again linking up with Hoarding Books for another edition of First Line Friday. This fun, weekly blog meme simply consists of sharing the first line of the book you're currently reading, and today I'm sharing a recent release that I really ended up enjoying.

A Dazzle of Diamonds by Liz Johnson:

About the Book:

Best friends Penelope and Tucker have faced their share of challenges. But finding a lost treasure in time to clear his family's name and win him an election may uncover something they never expected.

My Thoughts:

This ended up being my favorite of the Georgia Coast Romance books, and I loved that it included two of my all time favorite romance tropes: fake dating and friends to something more. I also love how it's told partly in epistolary style and also includes a time slip element through diary entries. I really ended up enjoying this one, and you can read my full review here

First Line:

"Penelope Jean Hunter loved every wedding she'd ever been to. Except her own."

What book are you currently reading? Be sure and leave the first line in the comments, and then hop on over to Hoarding Books to see who else is participating this week.

Have a wonderful weekend! I hope you all have lots of time to curl up with a great book. :)

  1. I finished Dazzle this morning! Loved it!

My first line is a long one from Chapter two of Vying for The Viscount by Kristi Hunter:
Suffolk was as beautiful as his father had claimed, and the estate and stables were even grander than his grandfather had described in his letters, but no one had warned Hudson that the area was inhabited by crazed women.

I'm currently reading The Crushing Depths by Dani Pettrey. I'm on chapter 41, so I'll share from there.
"When Logan left to meet Bella Armstrong at a coffee shop and Emmy was engrossed in searching for answers on Rick Carson, Noah grabbed the folder Austin Kelly had given them and tucked it under his arm."
Hope you have a relaxing weekend! 🙂❤đź“š

    1. Do you mean the treasure? It revolves around a missing historic treasure that Penelope and Tucker find clues to in a historic family diary. I don't want to spoil the whole thing for anyone who doesn't want to know so SPOILERS in this comment, but they do end up finding a treasure that holds a significant monetary and historic value to their community.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend :)

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest
