The Christmas Bus by Melody Carlson Review

Good Morning All My Beautiful Bookish Lovelies :) It's been far longer than my last post than I had intended, and for that I do apologize. This year has unfortunately been one of the toughest I've ever personally dealt with, and sometimes as I was dealing with hard circumstances that were out of my control, I ended up having to take a step away from my blog. I've also dealt with some personal hurts that have come about from the Christian book community this year especially, and it's made wanting to be present in this community a bit harder. That being said, I've prayed a lot about it, and I do still feel like God has a purpose for me and for my blog going forward, so I'm going to be doing some reevaluating about how to best grow my blog and bookstagram and the like for Him in the weeks to come. Regardless of everything that's been going on, I'm thankful more than ever for this advent season and the time it's given me to reflect on the greatest gift...

The Christmas Tree Farm by Melody Carlson Review

Happy Thursday Sweet Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you've taken the time to drop on by The Preppy Book Princess today for another book review. How is everyone else's week going? Mine has been pretty crazy if I'm being honest, as a lot of things didn't go the way I'd expected them to, and I'm left feeling a little exhausted. However, sometimes that's the way life goes, and we've got to learn to roll with the punches, and trust God no matter what circumstances may be coming our way. One of my favorite ways to take a step away from the craziness is to curl up with some great reads, and for as long as I can remember one of my favorite type of books to use as comfort reads are actually Christmas books. There's just something about reading them that makes everything feel cozy and the like, and today I'd like to share a review with you guys for another upcoming Christmas title. This one is actually releasing...

All in the Timing by Melody Carlson Review

Hello Everyone :) I pray you're all doing well, and that you're week is off to a great start. I'm so thankful you chose to drop by The Preppy Book Princess today for another book review. I'm Kirby, and I'm so excited you're here! I'm still feeling pretty rough if I'm being honest, but I'm working my way back to hopefully normal, and I'm enjoying getting back into the swing of sharing bookish content with you all. I'm hoping to get my Bookstagram back in the swing of things soon too, but we will have to see what I end up feeling like. Today's been a bit of a rough day, and I'm definitely going to need to rest. However, before I go do that, I wanted to share a new review with you all. In 2022, I began working my way through the many titles of the multi author Tales From Grace Chapel Inn series. Today, I'm looking forward to sharing my review with you all of another one of the titles in this series. However, before we dive right in...

Love Finds You in Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts by Melody Carlson Review

Hello Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to join me (Kirby), here on The Preppy Book Princess today. If you're a fellow lover of Christian fiction, then I'm guessing you're probably at least a little familiar with the multi author Love Finds You series that were all the rage awhile back. There's quite a few of these titles in the series, and I've enjoyed getting to read a few of them as it's fun getting to visit many of these places that I've never (yet) had the opportunity to visit in real life. I've recently learned a bit more about Martha's Vineyard, and I've been kind of fascinated by it. When I learned that one of the titles of this series is set there, and it happened to be written by Melody Carlson, who's one of my favorites, I knew I needed to give it a try. Keep reading down below to find out what I ended up thinking about it. Love Finds You in Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts ...

Winter Wonders by Melody Carlson Review

Hello Everyone :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. When I last posted on here, it was right before the long weekend, and I had planned to post again on Thanksgiving Monday. Unfortunately, Saturday night ended up going in a direction I never could have expected, and I ended up having family member rushed to the emergency room. Thank goodness they are home now, but these past few days have been extremely rough, and it definitely wasn't the Thanksgiving we were expecting. Now that things have calmed down at least a teensy bit, I thought I'd jump back on here with a book review for you all today. I personally love discovering new to me series that become instant favorites. I especially enjoy when the series has many titles in it, as it gives me plenty of reading material to look forward to.  A couple of years ago, I had the pleasure of discovering kind of by accident the wo...

Good Morning Bookish Lovelies :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I'm currently on three days off from work, and I have to say it's been a wonderful break. We've been so crazy busy at work as of late, and I'm definitely appreciating a couple of days to take care of a bunch of things around the house. I've been cleaning, baking, cooking and blogging like crazy, and tomorrow I'm looking forward to having a date day with my hubby. We're going to the city for a quick trip, and I'm looking forward to getting to enjoy some quality time together. One other thing I've been thankful for is some downtime to curl up with the many great books that have been sitting in my April TBR pile. One of those books I'm excited to share with you all today. Melody Carlson is often one of my favorite contemporary authors, and I've especially enjoyed two of her...

I'm Kirby, and I'm so thankful you took the time to stop by my little corner of the internet. A couple of years ago, I had someone recommend the Tales From Grace Chapel Inn series to me, and it honestly sounded like something I'd really enjoy. However, I was a little scared to jump into it, as I knew it was a series with many, many titles, and I wasn't sure I wanted to commit to reading that many books. I finally decided just to dive in, and give the first title a chance, and today I'm here to share with you all what I ended up thinking about it. Keep reading below for my full review. The Christmas Swap by Melody Carlson Review

Hello Friends :) I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. It's been a bit of a tough few days for me personally. I've been dealing with some personal stuff that's kind of dragged my spirits down a bit, but I'm so thankful for Jesus during all these hard times as I know He is always always there for me. With His help I know I can get through anything that comes my way, and I'm forever grateful. One of my favorite things to do when I'm having a tough week is read Christian fiction. I love how uplifting these books are, and since it's August I thought it seemed like the perfect time to go ahead and start reading some of the Christmas ARCs that I currently have from NetGalley. I'm one of those weird people that can read Christmas stories all year long, but I especially enjoy getting to read them in the months leading up to Christmas. Today I'm excited to be shar...

First Line Friday: The Happy Camper

Happy Friday Everyone :) I pray this week finds you all safe and healthy. As I've been spending so much more time at home than normal, I've also been finishing a lot more books. One of my favorites I finished this week was The Happy Camper by Melody Carlson, and so I decided to feature it for today's First Line Friday post. If you're unfamiliar with First Line Friday, it's a weekly meme hosted by Hoarding Books where you simply share the first line of the book you're currently enjoying. The Happy Camper by Melody Carlson: About The Book: Home is the place to heal, right? At least, that's what Dillon Michaels is hoping as she leaves her disappointing career and nonstarter love life behind to help her grieving and aging grandfather on his small Oregon farm. The only problem? Her eccentric mother beat her there and has taken over Dillon's old room. After a few nights sleeping on a sagging sofa, Dillon is ready to give up, until she recei...
