Paige Torn by Erynn Mangum Review

Hello Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I'm Kirby, and I'm delighted you decided to stop by my little bookish corner of the internet. As someone who has been book blogging for over seven years (!), I can't tell you how important I think it is to make sure you're continuing to read for fun, and not just for review. I love getting to read and review the many complimentary copies I've been so fortunate to receive from authors and publishers over the years since I started my blog, but I still try and make sure that I'm continuing to read books purely for fun, either from the library or my own home collection. I do usually still end up reviewing these titles on my blog as well, but I can do so at my own pace, and don't have to worry about being on a deadline, or remembering to keep notes while I'm reading. Today's review is for a book tha...

However, last year I finally got the chance to dive into this wonderful series, and I absolutely adored it. You can check out my reviews of the first two titles using the links below, and today I'm excited to share with you all what I ended up thinking about the third installment. The Hadley Academy for the Improbably Gifted by Conor Grennan Review

Hello Everyone :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. Back in my early days of book blogging, I was all about young adult dystopians. I read so many of them over the years, and while some of them I still consider favorites, I've also had experiences with quite a few of them that weren't great, and honestly, a lot of them started to mesh together after reading so many. However, I recently stumbled upon one that sounded amazing, and that was actually published by a Christian publisher which I was hoping would mean it would be a clean read. Keep reading below to find out if this one ended up living up to my expectations. The Hadley Academy for the Improbably Gifted by Connor Grennan: Source: Library Publisher: Thomas Nelson Publication Date: October 8th, 2019 Genre: Young Adult Fiction/Dystopian Synopsis: Jack Carlson is dreading a class presentation when he suddenly finds him...

The Best is Yet to Come by Debbie Macomber Review

Hello Everyone :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. If I'm being honest, the last couple of days have been a bit of a doozy around here. Yesterday at 5:30 am, my hubby and I got woken up to our carbon monoxide detector going off. After multiple visits from the energy company and a furnace repair company, we found out that a part of our furnace wasn't working properly, and we aren't able to use it until it gets fixed. Unfortunately, the part isn't going to be available for a couple of weeks, so we're facing some pretty cold days with no furnace. This may not be a big deal in certain parts of the world in late April, but we've also been getting a freak snowstorm in our part of the country, and it's basically looking like Christmas again outside. I'm so thankful for Jesus looking out for us though, as without the detector going off when it did, who kn...

Second Time Around by Melody Carlson Review

Good Morning Bookish Lovelies :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I'm currently on three days off from work, and I have to say it's been a wonderful break. We've been so crazy busy at work as of late, and I'm definitely appreciating a couple of days to take care of a bunch of things around the house. I've been cleaning, baking, cooking and blogging like crazy, and tomorrow I'm looking forward to having a date day with my hubby. We're going to the city for a quick trip, and I'm looking forward to getting to enjoy some quality time together. One other thing I've been thankful for is some downtime to curl up with the many great books that have been sitting in my April TBR pile. One of those books I'm excited to share with you all today. Melody Carlson is often one of my favorite contemporary authors, and I've especially enjoyed two of her...

Hear Them Ring: A Christmas Novella Collection by Erynn Mangum Review

Hello Everyone :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. You may think it's a little strange that I'm sharing a Christmas book review with you all during the middle of April, but I have to say that it seemed like a perfectly fitting time to do so. See our area got a huge snowstorm last night, and my yard currently looks like it's already for Christmas to come around again. My mom and I had appointments in the city yesterday, and neither one of us was expecting to have drive home in the middle of snow flurries. Spring around here can bring with it some crazy circumstances I tell ya. But anyways, long winded intro aside, let's dive right into today's review.  Today's review is going to be of a fun, Christmas themed novella collection from one of my recently discovered favorite authors, and I can't wait to tell you all about it. Keep reading below for my full ...
