Paige Torn by Erynn Mangum Review

 Hello Friends :)

I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess.

I'm Kirby, and I'm delighted you decided to stop by my little bookish corner of the internet.

As someone who has been book blogging for over seven years (!), I can't tell you how important I think it is to make sure you're continuing to read for fun, and not just for review.

I love getting to read and review the many complimentary copies I've been so fortunate to receive from authors and publishers over the years since I started my blog, but I still try and make sure that I'm continuing to read books purely for fun, either from the library or my own home collection.

I do usually still end up reviewing these titles on my blog as well, but I can do so at my own pace, and don't have to worry about being on a deadline, or remembering to keep notes while I'm reading.

Today's review is for a book that I can't wait to tell you all about. I read this one when I really needed some encouragement due to some tough circumstances in my life, and this book really ended up meaning a lot to me.

I borrowed it from the library, but I hope to pick up my own copy of it in the future.

Keep reading below for my full review.

Will he be able to help Paige get her priorities on track?

My Review:

I'm always going to remember 2022 as the year I fell in love with Erynn Mangum's books. I'd read one of her titles (Sketchy Behavior) prior to this year and loved it, but it took me until last year to start working my way through the rest of her titles, and she has now become my new author obsession. I've been going through her books like candy, and I've truly loved every single one I've picked up.

I'd heard about the Paige Alder series a few years back, and I was really looking forward to diving into the first title. I ended up completely adoring this one, and I found myself empathizing with the journey Paige goes through with her faith. She comes to realize that sometimes stepping back and taking time for our personal relationship with Jesus is more important than saying yes to every commitment someone asks of us, and it felt both authentic and realistic.

I really enjoyed Paige's sweet developing friendship with Tyler, and how this author chooses to write romances realistically and slow burn, and how that element always comes second to the faith element.

I loved the wittiness and humor, and the dry, sarcastic edge that had me laughing out loud from start to finish.

I was going through a bit of a hard week when I chose to pick this one up, and it honestly ended up being one of the highlights of the entire week for me. I can't recommend this title or this author enough, and I look forward to reading more from this series in the very near future.

Final Rating: 5/5.

Thanks so much for reading guys! Have a great rest of your day :)

We've had some really nice days, and my husband and I were finally able to put our garden in, and various flowers and the like. We've also had a couple of lovely, rainy days as well, and I love how green everything is looking in our yard right now. For today's post, I'm excited to once again be linking up with the lovely Hoarding Books  for another edition of First Line Friday. Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...

Happy Friday Friends :) I hope you're all enjoying the last little bit of summer. Are you sad to see summer come to an end, or are you looking forward to fall? I personally love fall and it's my all time favorite season. However, I always find the changing of the seasons a tad bittersweet, although I'm very much looking forward to all the wonderful things fall brings with it.
