Happy Friday Friends :)
There's so many reasons I'm excited that it's once again Friday. I'm excited to be taking part in another edition of First Line Friday hosted by Hoarding Books, but I'm also excited to be featuring one of my favorite author's new releases for this week's edition.
First Line Friday simply consists of sharing the first line from the book you're currently reading, and today I'm going to be sharing from Mandi Blake's new book, which released last week.
Remembering the Cowboy by Mandi Blake:
About the Book:
They have unfinished business. She just can’t remember what it is.
Camille Vanderbilt is headed back home to Wyoming with one goal: find her old best friend and give him a piece of her mind for ghosting her six years ago. She won’t let anyone stand in her way… until a deer runs into the road and causes her to wreck and forget almost everything.
Noah Harding lives a simple life as a firefighter and rancher until Camille crashes back into his life. When a call at the fire station sends him to save his old best friend’s life, he thinks he might get a second chance until her influential stepdad gives a reminder that his old threats still stand.
When Camille runs into Noah in town, she knows he’s important to her, but her memories are still fuzzy.
Noah is hesitant to get close to her when it means having to sacrifice everything to be with her.
She thinks it’s a new beginning, but he knows it shouldn’t have ever ended.
When the threats are carried out, who will be left hurting at Blackwater Ranch?
Remembering the Cowboy is the first book in the Christian Blackwater Ranch series.

My Thoughts:
I've loved every book that Mandi Blake has ever written, and Remembering the Cowboy was not an exception. I loved how this one focuses around a second chance romance with a twist-the female protagonist (Camille) loses her memory, and doesn't remember the man who broke her heart, Noah. On top of the romance being sweet and heartwarming, this one has a really strong faith message of grace and redemption, and a beautiful, ranch type setting. It's definitely one of my favorites by Mandi to date, and you can check out my full review here.
First Line:
"Camille Vanderbilt was back in Wyoming on a mission: find Noah Harding."
What book are you currently reading? Be sure and leave the first line in the comments, and then hop on over to Hoarding Books to see who else is participating this week.
Have a great rest of your weekend, and I hope you find some time to curl up with a fantastic read! :)
Oooo, sounds good!! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt was an amazing read! Thank you so much! I hope you have a great weekend as well :)
DeleteI'm currently reading Georgana's Secret by Arlem Hawks (a very cool name, btw). I'm on chapter 12, so I'll share the first line from there: "Seawater made poor wash water." I think I'd have to agree! Hope you have an excellent weekend. 🙂❤đź“š
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
DeleteLol I love this line! I'm definitely going to have to check this one out.
Thanks so much, I hope you have an excellent weekend as well :)
Happy Friday! I've been in the mood to read my old Victorian novels, so my first line is from "St. Elmo" by author Augusta J. Evans. This is not the actual first line, but one that I like for how descriptive it is:
ReplyDelete"Until her wild song waked echoes among the far-off rocks, the holy hush of early morning had rested like a benediction upon the scene, as though nature laid her broad finger over her great lips, and waited in reverent silence the advent of the sun."
Happy Saturday!
DeleteI've never personally heard of this one, but wow what a beautiful line!
Thanks for sharing, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend :)
I've not heart of that author before but that book does look good. I'm currently between books. I hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteMandi Blake is one of my new favorites, and I'd definitely recommend any of her books.
