It's a Love Story: From Happily to Ever After by Lincee Ray Review

Happy Friday Everyone :) Does anyone else feel like this was the longest week ever? We had a lot of big changes happen in our lives this week, and maybe that's why it felt to me like it dragged on and on. Part of me wants to stress and freak out over what may possibly be on the horizon for us, but instead I'm choosing to pray about everything, and let go and let God.  Considering the way this last week has been, it was definitely the perfect time to pick up Lincee Ray's newest book release.  It was everything I was hoping for, and was just as funny and heartwarming as Why I Hate Green Beans was, and so today I'm excited to share my review of it with you all. It's a Love Story: From Happily to Ever After by Lincee Ray: Source: Complimentary copy from publisher as part of the Revell Reads blogger program Publisher: Revell Publication Date: April 30th, 2019 Genre: Christian Non-Fiction Synopsis: Human beings love to be loved. Ahsoka by E.K. Johnston Review

Hello Bookish Friends :) Thank you all for joining me today here on The Preppy Book Princess. A lot of people tend to be surprised when they hear that I really love Star Wars. I have no idea why this is the case, as it's something I talk about quite often, but alas, it still seems to surprise people. However, I tend to love a side of Star Wars that a lot of fans don't. I actually really enjoy all the new movies, I really enjoyed The Clone Wars movie, and two of my favorite characters are R2D2 and Ahsoka Tano. So to put it mildly, I was pretty excited when I found out that there was a middle grade book written about Ahsoka's life between The Clone Wars and Rebels. And yet, it still ended up taking me a couple of years to get to reading it. After finishing it, I knew I wanted to share with all of you what I thought about it. Ahsoka by E.K. Twelve Slays of Christmas by Jacqueline Frost Review

Hello Everyone :) I hope you're all having a great week so far! Back in the fall, I had read and reviewed Twas The Knife Before Christmas by Jacqueline Frost. At the time I didn't realize it was the second book in the series, and after finding that fact out, I always meant to go back and read the first book. I finally got the chance to do that recently, and it was just as good as the second book was. Jacqueline Frost is fast becoming one of my favorite cozy mystery authors, and I can't wait to share about this book with you all today. I've mentioned many times before on my blog that Dani Pettrey and Colleen Coble are two of my all time favorite authors, and also that I love taking a chance on new authors. So when I heard about an upcoming debut novel by Natalie Walters that falls under the Christian suspense heading, I knew I had to go ahead and give it a try. There You'll Find Me By Jenny B Jones Review

Good Morning Everyone :) I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! For today, I want to share a review from a book that's been one of my favorites I've read so far this year. If you've been reading my blog for awhile, then you'd probably know that my all time favorite book trope is "the famous person falling for the regular person." I've read so many books that have this plot line, and yet somehow I'd never realized that Jenny B Jones has a Christian fiction young adult novel about this. I knew I had to jump into this one, and I can't wait to share with all of you what I thought about it. There You'll Find Me by Jenny B Jones: Source: Library Publisher: Thomas Nelson Publication Date: October 3rd, 2011 Genre: Christian Fiction/Young Adult Fiction Synopsis: Grief brought Finley to Ireland. Love will lead her home. Finley Sinclair is not your typical eighteen-year-old. She's witty, tough, and driven. With an upc

The Forgotten Book by Mechthild Glaser Review

Hello Everyone :) I hope you're all doing well, and thank you for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I've noticed that I really enjoy reading books that were originally published in German, and have been translated into English. Heidi's one of my favorite classics, Kerstin Gier's Ruby Red trilogy is one of my favorite trilogies, and I've recently discovered (and fallen in love) with Mechthild Glaser's books as well. I adored The Book Jumper when I read it a few weeks ago, and I felt the same after finishing The Forgotten Book. The Forgotten Book by Mechthild Glaser: Source: Library Publisher: Feiwel and Friends Publication Date: February 13th, 2017 Genre: Young Adult/Fantasy Synopsis: A Jane Austen-inspired YA tale about a sixteen-year-old girl who finds a magical book—and discovers that anything she writes inside it comes true. Emma is used to things going her way. Her father is headmaster of her presti

Weekend In My Life: Saskatchewan Entertainment Expo 2019

Happy Wednesday Everyone :) I hope you're all having a great week so far, and I want to thank you all for stopping by today here on The Preppy Book Princess. Its been quite awhile since I last posted any kind of a DITl post, but I had such an amazing time at our first ever "comic con" type of event this past weekend, that I really wanted to share the highlights with you all. For a few years my hubby and I had been talking about attending one of these events with one of our closest friends, and this year we finally decided just to do it. We had a bit of a road trip ahead of us, but we couldn't wait! All three of us ended up working all day on Friday, and of course for me, this was one of those days where so much stuff got piled onto my workload that all had to be done before I could leave for the day. I ended up having to stay late, but soon it was all caught up, and I was headed home to finish packing, and get ready to leave early the next morning. Saturda
