Praying with Jane: 31 Days Through the Prayers of Jane Austen by Rachel Dodge Review

Hello and Welcome Sweet Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you've taken some time away from your crazy day to stop on by my little corner of the internet.  I'm Kirby, and I've been blogging here on The Preppy Book Princess since September of 2015, and I continue to love getting to use this space to share my love of books, especially those that honor our Heavenly Father. Today's review is an extra special one for me because I've wanted to read this book for quite sometime, and I finally got around to doing so. Rachel Dodge is one of very favorite devotional authors, and I've got to read and review a couple of her other titles. You can check out those reviews using the links below: The Little Women Devotional The Secret Garden Devotional The Anne of Green Gables Devotional Now I hope you'll all keep on reading, and join me for today's review. A Lasting Impression by Tamera Alexander Review

Good Morning Sweet Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you've taken the time to join me (Kirby) here on The Preppy Book Princess this morning.  Can I be honest that life has been a little rough as of late? There seems to be so much craziness in our world, more so everyday, and somedays it's hard to even want to be part of our crazy society. However, those days are the days we need Jesus more than ever, and I love getting to spend time with Him rather that be through prayer, worship or studying His Word. And one other thing that I've found that helps me tremendously is to stick with reading books that honor Him, and provide some extra light in this dark and evil world. One author that I know I can always count on for these type of reads is Tamera Alexander. I recently had a chance to read one of her earlier titles that had been on my tbr shelf for quite some time, and today I'm here to tell you guys all about it. I hope you'll ...

Shadows of Swanford Abbey by Julie Klassen Review

Hello Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you chose to drop on by The Preppy Book Princess for another book review. Have you noticed lately that it seems to be a season of change? I'm not always the best at adapting to new circumstances, and we've been dealing with a lot of those lately. However, I know that without change our faith doesn't have the chance to be exercised the way it needs to be, and I'm trying to remind myself of this fact, and trust that He knows what He's doing, and it's not up to me to question. Other than spending time in the Word and in prayer, one of my favorite ways to destress during these type of situations is by curling up with wonderful reads, especially Christian fiction titles. I recently had the chance to read a title that had been sitting on my TBR shelf for awhile, and it was one that I'd been eagerly anticipating reading. I hope you'll all keep reading down below, and join me today...

In This Moment by Gabrielle Meyer Review

Hello Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you chose to take the time to stop by The Preppy Book Princess today.  It's been a bit of a crazy week around here as work has been a bit insane, so I've been enjoying escaping into some great fiction novels in the evenings as a way to destress a bit.  In 2022, I had the pleasure of reading a wonderful Christian time travel novel. If you know me, you know I've long loved reading time travel books, and I'm so thankful that some of these are finally finding their way into the Christian fiction market.  You can check out the review of that book using the link below: When the Day Comes I loved it so much, and I ended up including the second book on my " 2023 list of my most anticipated releases " post. I finally got the chance to read this highly anticipated follow up, and today I can't wait to share with you all what I ended up thinking about it. Keep reading down below for my f...

The Deadly Shallows by Dani Pettrey Review

Hello Everyone :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to join me, Kirby, here on The Preppy Book Princess today. I don't think I honestly realized just many suspense books I've been reading lately until I sat down and saw just how many I've reviewed in the past while. Christian suspense can often be one of my favorite genres, but sometimes it gets a little too much for me, and I definitely prefer some titles over others. One of my favorite authors within this genre has always been Dani Pettrey, and I'd been on the waiting list for her newest release at the library for quite sometime.  It's another of the titles from my Most Anticipated 2022 Releases Post , and when I finally got the chance to read it, I couldn't wait to dive right in, and today I'm looking forward to sharing with you all what I ended up thinking about it. If you're interested in checking out my reviews from the first two books in the series, you c...

Enchanting the Heiress by Kristi Ann Hunter Review

Hello Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. Are you someone who sticks to only reading certain genres? Or are you the type of reader that reads across a great many different genres. Without a doubt, I'm definitely the latter. I love contemporaries, cozy mysteries, historical fiction, middle grade, young adult, dual timelines, etc, etc. And my all time favorite is reading any of these sub genres that are under the Christian fiction heading. A beloved author within the Christian historical fiction market is Kristi Ann Hunter, but surprisingly, until 2020, I'd actually never read any of her books before. Her recent trilogy, Hearts of the Hearth, is my first experience with her stories, and I've enjoyed my first foray into her beloved books. I've previously shared my reviews of the first two books in the series here on my blog, and you can check out those reviews...
