The Ladies of Ivy Cottage by Julie Klassen Review

Good Morning Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess.   A few months ago, I ended up reading a Christmas themed novella by Julie Klassen, and at the time, didn't realize it was actually the last book in a series. I enjoyed it so much that I ended up wanting to go back and read the rest of the series, and I ended up loving the first book in the series as well. If you'd like to check out my reviews from those two books, go ahead and use the links below: The Innkeeper of Ivy Hill An Ivy Hill Christmas I recently had the chance to read the second book in the series, and oh my goodness I enjoyed it so much I could barely bring myself to put it down. The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett Review

Hello Everyone :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I've been mentioning quite a bit on my blog the last year that I'm kind of burned out on a lot of the newer releases. I barely touch new secular fiction anymore, as honestly the content is slightly appalling, and many new Christian fiction titles have disappointed me with the amount of unnecessary content being included within those as well. I've really been craving some good ole fashioned books, when the world was a much simpler place, and fiction was definitely cleaner, and as such, I've been enjoying working my way through some of the children's classics, most of which I'd read before but have really been enjoying getting to reread. Today I'm excited to share my review of one of these titles with you all. The Secret Garden by Frances  Hodgson Burnett: Source: Bought for Myself Publisher: Penguin Gr...

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. At the start of last year, I had the immense pleasure of reading and reviewing the first book in Gina Renee Freitag's Vessels series. It was her debut novel, and I was completely blown away by what an emotional, powerful, faith filled story it was. Last fall I got to read the second book in the series, and I loved it just as much. The Healing of Natalie Curtis by Jane Kirkpatrick Review

Happy Thursday Friends :) I pray today finds you all well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I'm personally really looking forward to this weekend. Monday is Thanksgiving here in Canada, and my mom is hosting our family Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday. I always enjoy helping her with it, and ever since moving out so many years ago, I always have fun preparing a few different dishes to take with me to her place. This year I've been going through many recipes trying to decide what to make, and I can't wait to get to work in the kitchen in the following days. Before I jump into all that though, I thought it would be fun to share a bonus extra book review with you all this week. Last year, around this same time, I read my first novel by Jane Kirkpatrick (review here ), and it wasn't, unfortunately, a positive experience for me. I was really wanting to try another one of her books, to give them another chance...

Guarded by the Hero by Mandi Blake Review

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray you've all had a great weekend, and that you're all enjoying the start of October. Our area has been going through an extremely abnormal heat wave, and as such, it sadly has not felt like fall yet. This is very weird for us as we're usually well into colder temps by now, but this year it still feels like summer. One thing that definitely helps me look forward to the cooler temps is reading some of the many amazing Christmas books that are being released this year, and today I'm excited to share with you all a review of one of my all time favorite author's upcoming releases. This is the second year she's been participating in a multi author series collection called The Heroes of Freedom Ridge  series, and each title in the series revolves around a character that makes their home in the small fictional town of Freedom Ridge, Colorado. I loved Mandi's last installment in this series, (you can read that review here ), and I loved...
