I've been an avid reader my entire life, and I started my book blog back in September of 2015. I've grown a lot fussier in the last couple of years about the type of content I allow myself to read, watch and listen to, and that's meant I read a lot less secular fiction than I used to. Honestly, Christian fiction is the best genre anyways, so it hasn't been a hardship whatsoever to give up more of the non Christian titles. However, there are a few secular authors whose books I've still enjoyed in the past that I have continued to read, and today I'd like to share a newer release by one of those authors with you all. How has October been going for you so far? I took a few days away from my blog this past week, as my hubby and I went away for a few days which was much needed and much appreciated. We visited Edmonton, Alberta for almost a week, and enjoyed the beautiful Fantasyland Hotel, the biggest mall in North America, and getting to attend Edmonton's Fan Expo for the very first time. Unfortunately, I ended up getting sick after we got home, and didn't really feel up to doing much of anything these past couple of days. Before I dive into the book review I'm excited to share with you all today, I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family on the loss of her majesty, Queen Elizabeth the Second. Growing up, my grandmother was always fascinated with the Queen and the royal family, and it something I ended up learning quite a bit about from her. I always respected how the Queen was bold about her faith, and how she was determined to choose her people over herself every single time throughout her ruling history. She will definitely be missed, and I'll be praying over King Charles and that he will prove to be a fair and conscious leader just like his mother before him.
