I'm extremely thankful that the life threatening cold warning our area was under has finally lifted, and while it's still extremely chilly outside, it's nowhere near as cold as it was. I have the day off of work today so I'm planning on cleaning my house, spending some time with Jesus, enjoying my day off with my hubby, and curling up with some great reads. If I'm being honest, the past week was a little bit of a doozy around here! Work's been crazy, life's been crazier, and I'm so thankful that Jesus is always with me no matter the circumstances. I've had a very busy last couple of weeks. We constantly seem to be short staffed at work, and as such, I've been working a lot of extra hours. When I'm not working, my favorite things to do are spend time with Jesus, enjoy my evenings spending time with my hubby, and curl up with great reads. I've been thinking a lot about happiness, joy and our flesh lately. It seems so easy to find our happiness in this world, and then scream and freak out every time something doesn't go exactly the way we want it to. However, God never promises us complete happiness and everything we want in this broken world. Finding our happiness apart from God and through our worldly flesh is never the answer, no matter how much society may say otherwise. As Christians we are called to take up our cross on a daily basis, and deny and repent from any fleshy attitudes, thoughts or actions.   Hello Friends :) I'm Kirby, and I'm so thankful that you took the time to stop by The Preppy Book Princess today for another book review. If I'm going to be honest, my list of favorite authors seems to grow and grow all the time, with most of them being from the Christian Fiction genre. There is so many talented authors out there, and somedays it's really hard for me to narrow down my favorites. However, one author who would make this list each and every time is Amy Clipston. I adore her Amish fiction novels, and I'm beyond belief excited that she's releasing a contemporary novel later this year. Her Amish Marketplace series has become one of my favorite series by her, and honestly one of my favorite series of all time.
