Naomi's Gift by Amy Clipston Review

 Hello Friends :)

I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess.

It's day eight of Christmas in July, and today's review is one from one of my all time favorite authors.

If you've been a reader of The Preppy Book Princess for awhile, then it probably comes as no surprise to any of you that I truly adore Amy Clipston's books. I literally can't wait for her to release her first Christian fiction adult contemporary later this year, and I absolutely gobble up every single one of her stories that I have a chance to read.

I recently finished one of her much beloved Christmas novellas, and today I can't wait to share with you all what I thought about it.

Naomi's Gift by Amy Clipston:

My Review:

Amy Clipston has become one of my very favorite authors over the years, and I truly think she's my absolute favorite in the Amish fiction genre. I adore how her stories always make me both laugh and tear up, and I was really looking forward to diving into this sweet sounding novella about a widower with a young daughter and a woman who has all but given up on ever finding love after two failed courtships and two resulting broken hearts.

One of my usual complaints with novella length stories is that the story often isn't developed well enough within the word count and often seems rushed. I was so happy that this isn't the case with Naomi's Gift, and I loved how Naomi and Caleb's relationship still feels well developed, and not like it was hastily rushed or wrapped up too quickly and neatly.

I honestly found some of the side characters, especially Sadie, to be a tad obnoxious throughout the story, as I quickly grew frustrated at the way they kept trying to push Caleb and Naomi into living their lives the way they wanted them to, and paid no attention to what either of them truly wanted. However, I loved how they both learned to get past these things, and discovered how to listen only to what God wanted for them, and not what anyone else was trying to push on them. I adored and cherished every moment that's included in the story of Caleb's daughter Suzie, and I thought her presence made a sweet story even that much sweeter.

This beautiful, heartwarming Amish Christmas romance is truly Amy Clipston at her best, and I adored the entire thing. I can't recommend it enough, and I can't wait to reread it in the near future.

Final Rating: 5/5.

Thanks so much for reading guys! Have a great rest of your day.
