First Line Friday: A Dazzle of Diamonds

Happy Friday Friends :) I hope you've all had a great week, and I want to thank you all for joining me today on The Preppy Book Princess. Since it is Friday, I'm once again linking up with Hoarding Books for another edition of First Line Friday. This fun, weekly blog meme simply consists of sharing the first line of the book you're currently reading, and today I'm sharing a recent release that I really ended up enjoying. A Dazzle of Diamonds by Liz Johnson: About the Book: Best friends Penelope and Tucker have faced their share of challenges. But finding a lost treasure in time to clear his family's name and win him an election may uncover something they never expected. My Thoughts: This ended up being my favorite of the Georgia Coast Romance books, and I loved that it included two of my all time favorite romance tropes: fake dating and friends to something more. I also love how it's told partly in epistolary style and also includes a time slip element throug...

A Dazzle of Diamonds by Liz Johnson Review

Happy Monday Everyone :) How was your weekend? Mine was pretty nice actually, as I was able to get some yard work, cleaning and reading done, and then yesterday we ended up spending the afternoon at one of the provincial parks in our area. Right before the weekend, I had the opportunity to read Liz Johnson's upcoming release, which I'd really been looking forward to. I hadn't loved the first two books in her Georgia Coast Romance series as much as I loved the books in her Prince Edward Island Dreams series, but I was still looking very much forward to diving into the third installment. Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. Now that we're well into December, are you busy with preparations for the Christmas season? I'm personally enjoying all the festive things I've got to do so far this year, and I'm almost finished my Christmas shopping, I've sent out Christmas cards, I've started wrapping, and I'm hoping to get started on baking this weekend or shortly thereafter. This weekend is going to be particularly festive as my friend and I are having are annual Friendmas tomorrow, and then I'll also be doing more gift wrapping, baking and reading more holiday themed reads. Do any of you have any fun Christmas plans for this weekend? I'm also taking part in the winter magical readathon, and I'm having so much fun with it. If you're interested in knowing more about it, you can check out the official ho...

First Line Friday: On Love's Gentle Shore

Happy Friday Everyone :) Today I'm participating in First Line Friday for the first time ever which is hosted by the lovely Hoarding Books . My current read is On Love's Gentle Shore by Liz Johnson. This is the third book in her Prince Edward Island Dreams series, and the first two books in the series have been two of my favorite reads of 2019 so far. The third book is just as amazing as the first two so far, and it hooks you right from the first line: "She'd thought it was safe to come back to the island." Happy reading and Happy Friday! Grab the book nearest you and leave the first line in the comments. Then head on over to Hoarding Books to see who else is participating this week!
